'80s rock was bad as hell. I actually do like some of the rock from '00 and the '90s was good ofcourse.rubenbos007
Care to recommend a few? 8)
There's a lot of good rock bands out there, but at the same time there's also a lot of crappy *** bands. sinistergoggles
Care to name a few of the note-worthy ones?

I don't like pointing fingers, but the bands jimmygrace named are a few of teh good ones.
Not all rock is emo or metal. Goo Goo Dolls still exist I think, and there are some bands out there that aren't emo or metal. But still, I think the highlights of rock spans from the mid 60s-90s (Beatles, Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Foreigner, Gary Glitter, Guns N' Roses, Cream, Eric Clapton, Cold Play, Soft Cell, Green Day before turning emo, Huey Lewis and the News, ZZ Top, etc)Wolf-Man2006
LMFAO at Gary Glitter.
The thing about most of these 80's rock fans is they only want music that sounds like their own collection. Go ahead and try to hand them any modern rock band that actually sounds interesting or tries something new and they will reject it and go for ****ty "c.lasssic" throwbacks like Wolfmother that sound EXACTLY the same as their rawkin' favourites already.
I mean, hell, just leave the Guns n' Roses and AC/DC on repeat all your lives since that's all most of you ever want to experience. Play it safe dudes.wrlyy
Because some of of don't like emo music, nu-metal, and weird stuff like NIN.

Nine Inch Nails has been around for almost 20 years, you really don't know much about music do you.

... I'll ignore the last comment... and nu-metal? what is this 1998?
Well, in response to a comment earlier about modern rock being the same as old school rock, it's not. And when I say it's not, I mean it's really not. They're trying something new, but you can instantly tell that the music has no real soul anymore. Everyone is just trying to make a quick buck with their music.
And by everyone I mean most. ;)
The time between the 90' and 00 it was ok, but the best rock is between the 60's and 70's, the 80's was just glamrock and that was the worst thing ever...Right now I think that the rock is very badCedric169
The 80s was one of the best times for rock music bar the 60s IMO
