has anyone had there review for a game deleted from being accused of trolling?

I wrote a review for a game a while back.I made the review honest as i could.But a week or so later i get a message so i check it out.The message said my review was deleted becausei was trolling and this was a warning.Trolling i never trolled on this site in my life.So has anyone had this happen?

Haven't written a review in ages but even at fourteen years old, I managed to write non-biased reviews. Of course, they've all been deleted at this point in time by myself.

I'm really disappointed that Gamespot would go through the trouble of deleting someone's user review. Don't they have anything better to do? You should be able to say whatever you want in your reviews. How can you be "trolling" when you're reviewing a game that you played? I don't even think that's possible.

Something along the lines of "HALO SUX -50/10 N00BS" is trolling, whether you've played it or not.

Nope. I've only written two reviews tho. :P

LOL, fair enough. I would never even think to write something that stupid, so I wasn't taking that into consideration. I still don't know that I'd define it as "trolling" though. Writing a review isn't the same as posting in a forum that's meant to be a conversation. A review is a one-way street.

You'd be surprised at the lack of intelligence over at System Wars. It's scary, really. And it doesn't really matter if there is no way to reply, if the intention is solely to annoy other users, then you're trolling.

As long as you don't blatantly say "this game sucks", then it won't get deleted.

Yeah it has my review of the game cryostasis pc was deleted for the same reason :(

Nobody has to read a forum post either. They are still mod-able if they are an attempt at trolling.

▲ Trolling is just what people say when they don't like your opinion and need an excuse to get rid of it. Don't worry OP, it happens to the best of us. ▲

The irony here is i didn't bash the game at all other than saying it wasn't as good as the previous games in the series.Other than that and the few minoe things in the game That i felt weren't that good.I gave the game a very good review.The funny thing is i read reviews that should be deleted and yet they are still on the web site.Oh i was wondering isn't reviews suppose to be about your opinion anyway.

I've never had mine taken down in all my years and reviews. (And i can actually say that, TC. =p) I think most people who say a (good) game sucks never really played truly terrible games. And I'm not even talking preferences here. I'm talking glitches, unpolished messes, and sloppy everything. (Like music cutting off) That's the only time I dub games terrible. Otherwise, just don't have some one-sided opinion. You'll get further, methinks.

Nope, hopefully it never happens.

Just look at how skewed Metacritics' scores are, and you can easily see why Gamespot may delete a reviewer's post. You have "user" scores that change entire numbers because there's morons that think "well it says 9.0 right now, but this game really deserves an 8.0 average, so I'm going to bomb this s*** with a 1.0 rating to drop it down."

I think it's a little shady that Gamestop deletes stuff because that means they can alter how positve or negative a game is reviewed, but I can understand them wanting to filter out people that can't rate something without a bias.
