have you seen this movie? imo, its the most depressing thing i have seen in my life. its good, but too emotionally draining. i wouldnt put myself through seeing the movie again. thoughts?

Came out in the 80s, but its made from Studio Ghilbi so the quality is excellent. And yes its amazing, but depressing as hell. I'll be honest, I shed some tears when watching it.

My favourite Studio Ghibli film. You should try Barefoot Gen.Brutal_Elitegs
Yes, Barefoot Gen is carries a similar flavour and its based upon the same time period. Maybe not quite as moving as the characters aren't as developed as in GOTF.
