This topic won't last long, but I had to express my anger about what Gamespot become.
I visit gamespot at many years, but in those last 2-3 years gamespot become a very weird site, mainly because the way Gamespot approach to Sony and Playstation consoles, mainly PS3.
It's a fact that PS3 had many problems at launch with it's high price, lack of games games and shortages, but that is a thing of the past and PS3 is now in a much better situation with really good games and a better price.
But Gamespot keeps their totally negative attitude towards PS3, they tend to ignore it or make fun of it, the PS3 game reviews are always bellow the other sites reviews, this has been happening at very long time, and now we have the 2007 awards with some VERY very strange choices, they totaly ignored Uncharted, R&C TOD and some other great games of PS3,in a way that's impossible not to realise that something odd is going on. I other hand they tend to support Microsoft very much, the wii is in the middle of this contrast between PS3 and X360.
Video reviews to PS3 games become very rare.
Reviews of PS3 games are allways bellow the average of the rest of the press.
PS3 is constantly ignored and there seems to be very "ignorance" about what's happening in the playstation world.
This Game awards for 2007 are tottaly and completely biased, PS3 games are ignored to the max, Uncharted beeing a good example, the PS3 best game categorie is just pathetic.
The recent Geff "situation" just prooved what we allready knew, money buys the souls from gamespot staff and his company.
This situations just keeps worst and worst very day.
I will lose my points, maybe my all account of Gamespot, but honestly I just don't care anymore, this site become a sick place to visit, I don't care if theyperssonaly prefer one company and it's console, what I don't like is that they are clearly beeing biased in a site that was supposed to be "universal" about video-games, they are not being equal or professional.
I was a terrible fanboy some time ago, I changed because being fanboy don't take us anywhere and things were becoming pathetic, but apparently Gamespot won't learn that so soon.
What do you think about what I said? And don't be a fanboy, I'm not attaking the other consoles here, I'm just pointing what is happening, If this was happening to Xbox360 or Wii I would me equaly mad, video-games sites should be thrustfull above all our preferences, they should be informative and not persuasive.
If gamespot still have a litlle bit of decency will not erase this post and will let people comment their opinion.
Thanks and probably bye bye.
