Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. It depends on the individuals and the reasons behind it.

Depends on the person. Some can forgive....some can't.

I would say it would be pretty hard most of the time, unless they didn't really mean to.

@happinessforyou: be careful of how or when you forgive. too many times i have forgiven when i shouldn't have, and, by doing so, acted against the someone apologizing; aswell as myself and any other that the offender wrongs in the future. always make sure they apologize in earnest. an apology is an acknowledgement of guilt, and a declaration of the scarceness of the offense in the future. if the only reason that you wont offer your forgiveness is that your vengeful, forgiving the person will always be more valuable than your holding the line of a grudge.

@SolidSnake35: aw man. they got them feels, man. im thinking that they cant say they have as much of the english.

Depends on what they did, and it depends on the person.

For me it depends on what they did and how much they have betrayed my trust.

I'd just like to point out that this also depends on what "forgiveness" actually entails. I mean, if you piss off your dad, he could say, "I forgive you son, and I still love you. But I'm still removing you from my will and you're not getting a cent of my money."

I've been screwed over by a few people in my life, and I "forgave them", but just because I forgave them didn't mean I was willing to put myself in a position to get screwed over by those people again. From my perspective, it's awesome because I get to feel like the better person. But from their perspective, it still kind of sucks. The ultimate effect of me forgiving them is (to them) exactly the same as if I didn't forgive them. So...what does it matter whether or not I forgive them?

I had a girl call me a "lame ass" and ask me to leave because I couldn't please her sexually. It hurt my self-esteem. I don't think I could ever forgive her; I didn't deserve that. F*ckin' b*tch.

I forgive people and people forgive me but things change and nothing can ever go back to the way it was before a forgiveness is needed

You've changed things, forever. There is no going back.

10 26 13 is the date all right (way off topic)

but true that there is no going back.

Yeah, like everyone said before, it depends on the situation. I tend to hold grudges though, if someone does something bad to me (with the intention of hurting me) I definitely expect them to make it up to me (since that's what I would do if I did something bad to someone else).

No one has ever done anything so bad that they need me to forgive them. And if they ever did cross that line, then I highly doubt I would. I don't think its possible to forgive things that are most likely embedded in a persons genes/personality/character. For me, its about adapting/coping to what a person is. And if that's not possible, cut ties. I see no reason to force something that's not working...
