What was the first real pet you remember having as a kid?

Mine was Marushi, my friggin awesome Alaskan malamute, and also my kitty SD (which i cant tell you what that stands for due to ToS, but my dad named her :o )

A gerbil. Don't know why we had a rodent as a pet, but that was it. Got a dog later on.

My parents got me a turtle. But the first family pet we got is a beagle. She is the awesomest dog in the world

We had this huge German shepherd when I was so small, that I couldn't even walk. I used to crawl on top of it, and my mom thought that someday it would bite my head clean off, but it never did. Actually it was kind of a nanny since it always kept me out of trouble by getting my mom if I was doing something forbidden. Eventually it died because of all kinds of health problems it got in it's old age. :(

our first family pet was a beagle, but when I stopped hunting we got rid of it.

3-4 years ago when i was returning from swimming exercise.. i got really tired so i just sit on the bench for a while and then small pinscher female cub just came from nowhere.... very cute cub so i just put her in my bug and went home my mom wasn't at home.... so i just kept her when my mom arrived she was mad that there is dog in the house she doesn't like dogs.... so i just told her that my friend gave me if i will give him back he will leave her outside... and she said ok since then i have my small cute dog... before that i thought who need a pinscher better get a pitbull but i like my dog so i don't care how its look like :)

Our Germa Shepherd, his name was Prince, he lived to be 14 years old, then we had to redo the septic system and they opened it when we weren't home and the fumes killed him, I found him when I came home from school:(
