Regular Tabby (Tiger). Cats are cats honestly, but I don't like long haired cats too much. Owned a couple, and I was always cleaning up hair, and hairballs, or should I say hair logs...yuk.

My two favorite cats are Moo Moo and Swirl, which are my two cats. I am laying in bed loving on Moo Moo as I type this. But out of the two, swirl is the one that likes attention the most.

That's funny. Moo Moo is a long haired black and white cat and Swirl is a short haired calico cat and Swirl sheds way more than Moo Moo. She also coughs up hairballs way more. Moo Moo is the softest thing I have ever touched in my life and I love hugging him. I call him my big teddy bear.

What breed?

Both strays that I took in. Moo Moo has been with us for four years now and Swirl has been with us for two years. Moo Moo I stole from my neighbors where I use to live because they were always mean to him and always throwing him outside and rarely fed him. When we took him in, he was a short haired cat due to being malnourished. Once we took him in and started feeding him, his hair took off. It was winter when we took Swirl in. We had just moved to our current place and my oldest daughter brought in this super small (the whole thing hit in the palm of my hand) calico kitten and she would have died had I not decided to keep her. They are both great cats that are very well behaved. They both still have their claws because they both only claw the scratching post. Moo Moo is fixed so we don't need to worry about kittens. Both are indoor only cats.

While we talking cats, I have a question. I plan on getting a Doberman Pinscher soon and I was wondering...Does anybody have both cats and dogs, had the cats first, then got the dog? How hard was it to get them to get use to each other? I will be getting to Doberman as a puppy. Now Moo Moo I think will be fine, but something tells me I am going to have issues with Swirl at first. She doesn't seem to like any other animal other than Moo Moo. They actually get along great and are always wrestling with each other.

How I wish there was just 1 cat stray that came to my doorstep.

It does make you feel awesome to take in a stray. Their lives instantly improve. I truly believe that I saved both of their lives. Swirl because she shouldn't have even been away from her mother yet and the harsh weather. I really think she would have died within the week had I not taken her in. Moo Moo I believe would have been tortured and killed by the kids that lived around me.

And to actually answer TC with a favorite breed answer. Maincoons and Savannahs are my favorite. Yes I like big cats. Moo Moo is freakin huge.

I like orange cats. One of my orange cats was the nicest kitten ever. He would cuddle up with you and pur and loved being pet and being around people. Unfotunately he was stepped on accidentally and died. The other orange cat loved being pet. He was a big baby when he was home but when he went out he would get into huge fights and come home with half his face gone but he always got better. Two years ago we let him out and he never came home.

The fluffy ones.

Although I have had the experience of petting a short haired cat and owning one and I have to say...it's growing on me.
