For me, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The music, the characters, the story, the fact that it is pretty serious, dark, and thought-provoking -- everything. I love that movie. What about you, and why?

Probably Alladdin, though I think Beauty and the beast is the superior film to all disney films.

The Beauty and the Beast is incredible, I really like that one too. I think the voice acting is superb. I cherish Aladdin mostly for its unforgettable music.

I've always been partial to the ones with animals (Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, The Fox and the Hound, etc.), but I also have always loved Hercules, Fantasia, and The Little Mermaid. Pinocchio is pretty great too.

Oh man, I don't even remember Fantasia... will have to check that one out again sometime. Hercules also has an amazing score. I thought it had a very unique style as well.

My favorite moments of The Lion King were the opening and the ending.

Well I have loved cats since the day I was born so that has a lot to do with it, I also remember loving the music and I still do. I like the cats and how Simba rises to defeat Scar to avenge his father and becomes king. Snow White is kind of cool too. And Pinnoccio or however you spell it. I never saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame...probably because my mom thought it was too scary lol.

Dumbo, or maybe Robin Hood, basically the older traditional animated stuff before they heavily relied on computers, still like the newer stuff but the older stuff has a certain charm to them.

Yeah I just googled some pics and it looks like I could find some Secret of Nimh shirts at Hot Topic or something.

the same three-way-tie.

Aladdin, Mulan, and Lion King

I do like the others a lot though, and i did enjoy Princess and the Frog.

but Disney animation doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot these days. Seems like Pixar does everything for them.

my favorite Pixar films are Wall E > Ratatouille > Finding Nemo.

and i am looking forward to Brave.

Note:

just looked, Disney Animation Studios has one movie coming this year called "Wreck it Ralph" which is actually video game related (definently keep an eye out for that), and next year a movie called "Frozen" which is an adaptation of The Snow Princess by Hans Christian Andersen (who did the Ugly Duckling and Little Mermaid fairy tales).

the next thought that hits my head is how much the name "Frozen" pisses me the hell off (in the nerd-rage kind of way)... it reminds me of "Tangled", which is an ok film, but the title just urks the hell out of me. Tangle is the story of Repunzel. what is the problem of naming your movie off of the story it's based off of? the main reason i heard for the title change was to appeal to the male demographic... which again... the title alone will not cover up the fact that your movie is a Disney princess film. Do they think people are really that stupid? ugh.. whatever. i'm out.

Wow, a lot of people enjoy the movies from way back before the "Renaissance" in the 90's. Glad to see so many Beauty and the Beast fans, I feel that movie is under appreciated along with Hunchback.
