So here's the deal, and it may sound stupid. I'm really skinny and have been playing football since i was 8. I used to be one of the bigger kids and used to be really good, but now I am really small compared to my other team mates. Apparently I'm really skinny because I have a fast metabolism. I don't much about health or the human body, but I want to try and bulk up quite a bit by next season so that I can start to better against people bigger than me. Am I cursed because of my fast metabolism, or is there a way to get bigger without steroids and **** I've starting to lift weights more and its been helping a little. Any suggestions?

I have a fast metabolism also. All I can say is to lift weights, wake up try to do as many push ups you can per day. set a goal to do 200 but try to do as many as you can. Try to keep your cardio up by running every once and awhile. Just try to stay in shape. If you can't be the strongest try to be the fastest.

Go to the doctor and have them check your thyroid. I had a slow metabolism, but the meds they put me on helped a lot. If it's bad enough, they'll put you on Synthroid or levothyroxine. That'll help you gain muscle.

Eat more food?

Haha but really you just gotta pound down the food man. Also, continue working out about 5-6 days a week, you will see results eventually. Just stay focused.

Don't complain, most people would love to be in that situation.

Your metabolism naturally slows as you get older. But if you really want to gain weight, it's just a matter of eating more calories.

This may sound backwards but eat less. this slows your metabolism because your body has to spread the food over a period of time. Just like the best thing fat people can do to lose weight is eat a small snack every 2-3 hours(along with exercise of course).

Whey and protein shakes could help. They are nasty as hell, but they could get the job done.

Workout like everyday and eat! Get a whey protein supplement so the protein stays in your body longer! I bulked up without steriods or all that other illegal crap, it's possible man through hardwork. I went from 165 to 190 in 6 months, it's possible if you stay dedicated
