Dogs and Cats banned in Saudi Arabia!!?!

Yup.. that's right.. I live in Saudi Arabia because of my Dad's job and it's really awesome here, but.. this is just not happening. Just when my brother and I thought of getting a pet Cat...grr

Just some weeks ago, the Saudi Arabian goverment banned having cats and dogs as pets.. I read that in a newspaper. Well, THATS NOT IT.. The reason for all this crap was because the stupid silly abnormal goverment thought that Guys in here were trying to impress women/girls by showing off their pets. OMG this is sooo stupid!!

What are your opinions?

Don't worry, this law will be withdrawn at some point. They do this alot. Just to keep people on their toes. If they have enough evidence that Cats (and Dogs) were indeed causing trouble in society then by all means the law makes sense. Otherwise no.

It would suck to be them.

If I wasn't allowed to own and raise cats I might actually have to go to the grocery store now and then...

Didn't they ban some little gerbil like pet recently because they were so popular they were bringing them into the country illegally by the truck load and the gov was worried about disease?duxup

That's right. They never had to try to create a good image of themselves to the world because they have oil which the world needs desperately. They just sell it and get money. Trying to fit in with the world was never necessary for them. That's what I call a dam lucky country.

pretty dumb if you ask me, the governments of the middle east need a good civilian uprising. Governments barely have validity in the first place, i dont know how they have t he arrogance to say no cats or dogs.

Get a ride a horse to impress other people. Get a monkey, tiger, bear, taranchula, and more as pet. There are more ways to impress girls. You can get a Sony fake dog and fool yourself thinking it is a real one.magicalclick

Isnt Saudi Arabia famous for really good horses? They'd be crazy to ban them, the royalty loves those things.
