OMG IT'S SO ANNOYING - I hate when people do that

Don't like it much depending the color that people use. It's also hard to know which one to use because no one have the same background here. For me, it seems everything bright give me hard time to read since my background is white. It will be the opposite for those who do use a darker background. I think there's more better way to highlight something in a sentence.

Here some that I prefer :

1. Different Font Size (Less than 3mostly!)

2. Different Font (Not too much for this one either)

3. Emphasis : Bold Italic Underline (Really easy to use and can make it a lot's of a hell easier to read!)

4. CAPITALISATION (Not my favorite one, but found it one of the best to draw attention to it, USE CAREFULLY!)

5. Text Block Size (I hate when someone post something all in a freaking block... Most of the time I don't even read it and just skip)

I don't even bother, it has never been worth the effort.

And yeah, I use the light skin. There's some dude around here who always posts in white, and I've never read a single post of his because I can't see and won't make the effort to highlight it.

The default text colors are perfect.

I have not come across anyone that posts in a color hard to see on the dark background of this site. But I don't really see the point of posting in different colors. It seems dumb but does not really bother me.

So if I started posting in blue, no one would be annoyed with me?

Depends if I can read it or not. Blue sucks against the grey base colour.

Some colours are hard to read, but on the whole it doesn't annoy me.
