Do you like Green Day, the music band?

Do you like them, or you hate them? I personally like them. I'll admit, there newer stuff may not be nearly as good (still good though) compare to Dookie or Warning, but they are still awesome IMO. What are your opinions about them?

they're very hit and miss with me tbh. I find that unlike most other people though I prefer there softer stuff more then there early more "punk" music. Only older song of theres I ever got into was deadbeat holiday

Never really seen the appeal. I find their songs boring for the most part.

New Green Day? No

Old Green Day? Heck Yes. I still listen to "Dookie" to this day.

i liked them when i was a kid and dookie was released. nowadays they are pretty terrible, i love the rock band game though :D.

I only like their last 2 albums.

Couldn't really get into their 90's stuff

I enjoy their older stuff much more than the lastcouple albums.

Holiday is catchy, but other than that I don't like them too much.

They are pop punk, therefore they are punk based.

Punk is not some strictly defined genre. I mean do the Dead Kennedy's sound anything like The Casualties? No.

Just because they are popular and are not hardcore punk does not make them poseur's at all. Maybe if someone who only knew Green Day and Billy Talent was running around talking about how "punk" they were that person might be a poseur, but the bands themselves are NOT in any way poseurs.

Really, I feel Green Day is the pinnacle of pop-punk and I don't see how one couldn't love stuff like this. Sure they may not be the best example of punk music, but they are definitely more punk than pretty much ANYTHING you will ever hear on the radio.

I < 3 all of their music :)

'When I Come Around' is about the only song I like from them. I wasn't a fan then and I despise their latest stuff.
