I get depressed and feel alone a lot like I have nothing to do and no one to be around, and it feels hollow and empty inside.
Do you ever feel depressed?

Once in a while. I think you wouldn't be normal if you didn't ever feel like that. I just find something to try and occupy my time with and start phoning/texting/talking to people and I feel fine again. Either that or I just go get hammered/high out of my face with some friends.
I'll admit I get depressed every now and then however I just drink loads and smoke loads. Not the healthy way to deal with personal **** but thats what I do
i don't think i get depressed, but i do have bad days once in a while. i find the best way to get over them is to do something, anything to keep myself busy or to take my mind off my troubles - whether it be calling up a friend to go watch a movie, or doing some work, etc.
I used to get kind of down in high school, I went through a lot of changes then, lost and gained alot of freinds and was uncertain of the future. Now I'm fairly happy, I have a solid group of freinds, I'm relativly confident in myself and the future looks bright. Sometimes I kind of beat myself up if I screw up on a test or chicken out when asking a girl on a date, but I don't get depressed, I just vow to do better.
I have manic depression, but most people never realize I am depressed. I cope with it. It can be hard when a lot of bad things happen in my life, but I eventually bounce back. Never been suicidal though. It's just a part of life. I think too many people are sensitive, and are being wusses about it.
I agree with this man. I feel the same way sometimes. The key to depression is just fighting through it, and that really filters those with strong will from those who are just plain "wusses"I have manic depression, but most people never realize I am depressed. The key to depression is just fighting through it, and that really filters those with strong will from those who are just plain "wusses" It's easy to write people off as "wusses" if you've dealt with depression for an extended period of your life. There are some people who, due to various circumstances, never experience depression until something terrible happens to them and they fall in deep, and it's suddenly a complete 180, and that contrast can be hard for some people to take. Not to mention there are different types of people. Not everyone can fight off depression with ease, especially if it's linked to important events in people's lives. I've 'battled' depression since I was 12 or so(11 years of my life, basically), so I've learned ways to deal with it. I don't look down on my friends or others who have trouble dealing with it. Some of us are just more 'weathered' than others, and some have dire circumstances surrounding their depression that can't simply be shook off because they're tied to other emotions and memories.I have manic depression, but most people never realize I am depressed. Never did, doubt I ever will
Sure, I get sad and I cry sometimes but it's momentaneous and I eventually move on.
