Having explored the Moon Landing conspiracy theory, the 9/11 conspiracy theory, and the Bin Laden conspiracy theory, I am beginning to wonder if any major conspiracy theories are actually based on real evidence and facts. Are there any you are aware of that can make a convincing and full argument?

not really.

1. "global warming is a hoax" false

2. "Bush was behind 9/11" false

3. "Obama was born in Kenya" false

I can't name any plausable ones

I think it's wise to take everything the media and government say with a grain of salt, and always look for alternate sources to have a less biased view on a subject, but conspiracy theorists just take it WAY too far.

Yeah I remember briefly reading about that and the history of the federal reserve once. Never looked for a counter-argument though.

I am fairly sire that there are "some" truth in some conspiracy theories. But most of them, I simply don't buy anything plausible in outright.

I think the more boring ones, might have truth, but all that with "shadow goverments trying to rule the world" and such, I simply do not buy.

Some have merits, but the rest sound like the insane ramblings of a nutcase who confused theory with hypothesis. Seriously, I can buy that there may have been another JFK killer considering all of what happened around it (no disclosed public info on certain matters for years, angle of shot, Oswald yelling that he was a patsy, etc.)

But then you have people saying that Seal Team 6 failed, Osama is alive (or has been long dead) and the operation failed and only now they are saying it with another story because there was no body. Or those crazed Birthers who can't read documents that are right in their face if it hit them.

So yeah, some could be possible, some maybe are possible, others are just insane.

tbh i enjoy reading conspiracy theories they are fun, but most of them are nuts, the only one i found to be decently probable was the 9/11 conspiracy, too many "side effects" of the 9/11 were beneficial for the government

It was definitely not something the government did, but considering the causes of the Vietnam war (two destroyed boats), I know 9/11 was at least a good rilig up method for invading Iraq (which was mostly unrelated to the incident compared to Saudi Arabia).

I disagree. Take news on major, credible sites/stations with more then a "grain of salt". Sure, be skeptical at times, but do try and take in their information.

The JFK assasination certainly has some credence to their being more than one shooter. Hard to say though since the facts in that case are so well guarded.

In fact I don't pay much attention to the term "conspiracy theories" because to me they are simply theories, aside from the extreme crazy ones like tinfoil stuff...etc A theory is a theory, it cab be right or wrong. It is a collection of observations and analysis that could be right or wrong.

True. It's up to people to decide whether the evidence is beyond a shadow of a doubt. Like conviction in court.

The problem with conspiracy theories is the moment they are proven; they stop being a conspiracy theory, they become conspiracy fact.

Despite there being real conspiracy theories that have been proven, such as with Bernie Madoff, people tend to just disregard all of them as being nonsense.

Well of course there is intelligent life out there, with the infinite amount of universes, there is bound to be something. Even Stephen Hawking believes this. Conspiracies that involve a very small number of people may deserve some merit. The biggest problem with ones involving events like 9/11 is that you would have to silence thousands or even tens of thousands of people!

Well that's the question. Which? Every one I've investigated so far, can easily be disproven by typing into google "_____ debunked". They hold back tons of information.

Just because someone claims to have debunked a theory and you believe their facts over those of a conspiracy theorist doesn't mean that the theory has really been debunked. It really just depends on whose facts you believe, and which story makes the most sense to you based on your world view and experiences. I've never seen a conspiracy theory that a ton of people bought into that didn't have some factual backing.

I don't think you've looked into any really interesting UFO sightings if you're comparing them to anything to could be construed as a plane or helicopter. There are some that are just absolutely beyond being confused for anything but a craft (sometimes massive) that has flight capabilities decades or centuries ahead of our own.

That doesn't work when most people have such a poor grasp of science and politics. What makes sense doesn't have to actually work in reality.

So you're basically saying that most people are stupid and don't have the good judgment to call BS on the official story from time to time? I think that's pretty arrogant and incorrect.

Of course humor has merit, it lightens the soul! Without humor every single one of us would collapse under the massive stress we would suffer.
