Yes, it felt like a waste of time to me.
I had 3 study halls everyday so if you add lunch thats 4 periods of doing absolutely nothing besides talking to people out of a 9 period day.
College is a lot better. Your not there for the whole day and no subsitutes to piss you off.
i loved it way more than college, i was too introverted to make new friends in college and i knew everyone in my high school; then again as a freshman i beat up the senior running back, then got beat up on by the team, but they fight like girls....
then by the time i was a senior noone even wanted to mess with me or my friends. it was a blast, we got drunk and smoked cigs/dope @ school (i dont smoke either anymore)
taking a rip under the bleachers inside the gymnasium is a rush
[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Why did you guys hate High School? :/Fortier
Tell me about the kinds of things you did in high school...cause I'm interested to hear what made it worthwhile.
I'm still in high school bud; so far, the social part of High School is what makes it awesome. Playing football, hanging out with friends after school, going to parties and having a bunch of those 'You had to be there' moments. Yeah sure, the 'school' part of it sucks -- though right now as I'm starting decades, its turning out to be a blast. I used to dread going to school when I was younger, but now, I rarely ever miss school... besides those days in which you just don't want to get out of bed. With only a week to go, I can look back and say I enjoyed high school for a large portion of it. Most of my teachers are pretty laid-back, good for a laugh kinda people; rather than a few of the workaholic ones circulating the place who I seem fortunate enough to have avoided. Yet they also know when to get me working, so it's nice having that balance.
Great facilities, lot of people know me even if they're not in the same year, get along with almost everyone, we haven't really had anything violent or tragic happen, so yeah, been a pretty sweet ride.
What do you mean only a week to go? School's not out for several months. With only a week to go, I can look back and say I enjoyed high school for a large portion of it. For year 12's in Australia, which is like, the equivalent of a senior in America I guess, we only have a week to go, then school is out. Two weeks after that we sit our final exams, then high school is done and it's onto Uni, or whatever people want to do.Galzakianyup, I herd Queenslands getting the HSC exams or whatever they are called.

Oh and high school is awesome, because of friends and sport, not cos of the work.
I loved it. People always complained about it, but I find college to be more difficult and annoying, especially since I work 26 hours a week, and have classes every day. Essentially I am at work 8 days a week (school Monday-Friday, work Friday-Sunday), and never have much free time. This also makes it hard to do work, because when I have 10 seconds I want to browse around on the internet, or read the newspaper, and that breaks up my focus on school work, because I'm urged to go back to those free-time activities often.
Besides that, school is all serious, for the most part, now, and there is little room to "screw around".
I'd love to re-live my high school days. I miss having a summer where there was nothing to do but have fun. I miss pretty much everything about high school.
College is good though...I'm addicted to browsing our library and getting out three books at a time, even though I know I don't have time to read them :P Currently have a biography on Beethoven and a book on poetry :)
loved parts of it. hated parts of it. was indifferent to parts of it.
siginificantly, the parts i hated were almost entirely the result of my own stupidity and emotardation.
