Okay to start things off, I only watch the cartoon Highlander series back in the early 90's, I also watch the latest Anime Highlander version: Highlander: The Search for Vengeance was really awesome but I do know there are other Highlander oldie movies out there and if you watch any of the old films, which one's do you recommended me watching cause I really enjoy fantasy films such as this?

Somewhat. The original movie was pretty sweet, while I remember some sort of faux sci-fi sequel that ruined it. The live action series were quite good too, IMO.

The only movie worth watching is the original.

Also Queen. They watched an unfinished version the movie and created tracks for each scene they liked.

You do not get any better than Queen when it comes to music and dare I say performance. Highlander was great on its own but the soundtrack pushed it into the stratosphere.

seen the trilogy, more then a few times, the only really good one is the first, the third was decent if I remember, the second was pretty bad, although it did have some neat lore tidbits.

The series I think I saw on and off, but never something I really followed.

I would recommend the first movie. It really is quite good, in that cheesy good way ^^

The original series is good in 90s sort of way. Might get some hate for saying this, but the first movie is pretty dated. I only recommend it if you are into cheesy 80s fantasy stuff. The only movie that was any good was the 4th one, Highlander: Endgame, and it's just decent. But, it does a good job of tying the movies and TV show together.

In short, I recommend the first movie, the original TV series, and Endgame. They are not great, but together they tell a fun and fairly complete tale.

The fight scenes kinda suck. The John Wicks guy is doing the remake, that movie had pretty awesome fight scenes.

Donno if Bautista is still playing Kurgan, James McAvoy would make a good Connor Macleod.

Yes, all three are cheesy. Liked the first as a kid, and thought it was odder than I remembered when I saw it as an adult, but still fun. I would watch it if it happened to be on TV. Never saw the cartoons or much of that TV show with the pony tail dude, so I don't know how they compare.

The original movie is probably the best (yes its dated and you can see some of the wire-work but the soundtrack is great) and I heard good things about the live action series. The cross over movie (Endgame) has some good sword fights in it but not much else. Definitely skip the 2nd and 3rd movies and hope that at some stage we get the game that was gonna come out but was then canned...

Don't bother with The Source it is easily the worst of the sequels.

@davillain-: I haven't seen it, but my wife says The Source is really bad. And she is a much bigger Highlander nerd than I am. Plus this guy agrees:
