o yeah i can.... thats pretty much what i make, but it all has to do with where you live, if i was in cali. i dont think 400 a week could get you very far

If I'm still living at my parents house for free, that would be awesome because I don't have a job. :D I would probably buy video games with all the left over money since I'm eating mostly salads and sandwiches lately.

But if I'm out in the real world on my own, I would be screwed. :(

Let's see.

$400 a week, so $1600 a month.

1600
-725 rent
-30 hydro
-65 internet/phone
-10 laundry
-500 food

That leaves about $270 for incidentals, which isn't an awful lot. I could live with it, but it would be a bit tight.

i lived on $250 a week for about a year.

it's not easy, and i was basically just existing... not fun, but possible.

this was in Vancouver, too.

That's a big one, though. Paying for a place to live is certainly my biggest monthly expense.

Thats the boyfriends job. ;p I pay for the car, he pays for the roof.

I used to get paid $150 a week at my crappy old job and my third of the rent was $375. That left me with $50 for the whole week it sucked.

This was only 3 months ago before I got my awesome new job.

If I was living with my parents and not by myself then yes. But no.

I made that off unemployment back in 2001. it was okay but no... i wasn't happy.

over 52 weeks (one year) that would only be 20,800. not really even comfortable in NY.
