Compliments and your reaction to them

When someone compliments you, how do you usually respond? Do your responses differ depending on who is complimenting you?

Mine would be a sarcastic "sure" with the "stop messing with me" face. I just don't like compliments to myself in general.

depends, when i get a compliment that i know is 100% fake, i just get kinda sad. never understood why would someone mix up being polite with being phoney.

I get flustered and usually deny it.

Never accept them. Compliments must be met with violence, otherwise you will be viewed as weak. Like a lowly dog at his master's feet waiting just waiting for a positive word.

In regards to sports, I never take a compliment. I always reply with "I need to get better".

I get awkward and usually throw one back so that it isn't all on me.

I used to kinda deflect them, but I'm avoiding that now. Compliments are good - receive them well, and give them out as often as you can.

I like compliments and I usually respond with a thank you.

Depends on the person. If it's a girl around my age my response is usually I know(they like that), otherwise I just say thank you.Ugalde-

Strangers: "Thank you"/"Thank you" *Give compliment*....................

Friends/family/Acquaintances: "I know"....................

I blush and get all moe.
