It's my 5th year of college and for the first time I'm commuting. It has its pros and cons for sure. I think I enjoy college more knowing that I can completely leave downtown and go back home.

My commute takes about 35 minutes one-way. For commuters, how long is your drive and do you like being a commuter or no?

My commute is a 5-10 minute drive depening on traffic. So yeah campus is really close to my house. I think it would of been nice though if I lived on campus, I'd have more opportunity to meet other people.

From my house to my university takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, generally. Pretty crappy, but I'm definitely saving a lot of money by not living on campus.

It takes me 15-20 minutes to get to campus. It's not bad. When I worked, it took me an hour and a half to get to my job. That was a pain in the ass. Especially since that entire hour was caused by traffic. I know there are people that do even worse commutes than that, and I just don't see how they can put up with it.

If I were to commute, it would take me 4.5 hours, so I do it sparingly. :P

Like...20 minutes depending on traffic. I hate driving..so...commuting isn't all that fun. Almost got into an accident today because some stupid lady cut diagonally across a lane on the highway. Her car was almost horizontal. I swerved around her 8)

While in college I commuted 8-10 minutes every day. Not too bad at all.

Does a 5-7 min walk count? I only ever want to live near campus whilst in school anything further than maybe a short bus ride is out of the question and driving even further so no way am I paying $300 to park per year and not even be assured a spot every day.

I can't really commute to my college, seeing that my college is about 5 1/2 hours from my house.

7 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk or bus ride. It's not bad at all. :)

It took about half an hour to an hour at my first school depending on traffic. My last school was about 10-20 minutes depending on traffic, half an hour during things like snowstorms and whatnot.

I have about a 20 minute commute. I actually don't mind living off campus to be completely honest.

without traffic, about 10 minutes. the average is about 15 minutes, but if there's a lot of traffic, it can sometimes take 30. then finding a parking spot takes at least 5 (just driving through a parking deck)

Finding a parking spot is the thing that annoys me the most.

Its a 1 hour drive, but I only have to commute twice a week anyways so either way I'm content. Sometimes I just ride the subway though, the highway is always packed with traffic in the morning so its much easier sometimes to just hop on the subway since that only takes about a half hour or so.

About 15 minutes for the close campus and 25 minutes for the further one.

Before I moved to the city which is pretty much right next to my uni, my commute was

15-20 min drive

50 min train ride (though Auckland public transport is so crap that they break down all the time)

10 min walk

This is each way.

It takes me about 35min from the time I leave my house to the time I walk into my class.

I'm not a huge fan since my T-Th class starts at 9am, so I leave my house at about 8:20-25.

So I wake up about 7-7:30.

During the summer I just kept working the hours I was working while I was in school, so I usually slept in til about noon.

So 7am is a little early for me.

I don't drive to the university I'm a grad student at-- I take Metrolink, a regional train system here in southern CA.
