GS wont let me post pics because of the forrbidden word " S T Y L E" in them. :(
Chicago style = Deep Dish New york style = Thin CrustThen New York. Deep dish is too much dough. It's like eating a cheese covered sponge. Other than the traditional pan pizza, it also encompasses stuffed pizza (think Giordano's) which is pretty fantastic.[QUOTE="kris9031998"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]

Yeah stuffed pizza is why I chose Chicago.

Chicago>>>>>>NY Pizza.
NY pizza would win if it actually tried to be more like an authentic European pizza since its a thin crust with few ingredients...However that is ruined by how much greacea NY style pizza has and the over saturation of meat.
Chicago Deep dish does not try to mask its self. It is huge, thick and amazingly good. A Chicago deep dish with fresh tomato sauce on top with browned sage, spinage, blue cheese, ham and pepperoni on a corn meal crust is the greatest American pizza period.
How about normal
American pizza as a whole is horrible. Never againfreek666............................. you know America has normal pizza too? Your telling me you tasted pizza from every single place that sells it in america, even though all have a different taste?
[QUOTE="iloverikku11"]When you compare the two you gotta think of the best they can be and if you still can't decide then it comes down to how you like to eat it. Well sh*t. I've never had the "best" thin crust, but i HAVE had Lou Malnati's deep dish. Holy sh*t, that is amazing stuff.depends on who is making it. Both can be good.
When I make homemade I do thick though, just easier.
KiIIyou
Out of those 2, Chicago Deep-Dish. Nothing is better than a well-seasoned crust.
Personally, I enjoy a local special we got here in Pittsburgh at a place called Beto's. CRAZY amounts of toppings, the sauce is really sweet and tasty (homemade by them), Cheese isn't melted (the toppings are a cold-cut) sausage and mushrooms. Tasty as all hell. It's homemade pizza at it's best. Although, I don't recommend it if you love hot pizza, this stuff is hot sauce and crust covered in cold toppings, a good mixture of hot and cold Pizza.
I like NY style pizza. The best pizza I have ever had is from Dino's Pizza in the Denbigh Shopping Center in Newport News, VA. Just about every time I go visit my parents, I talk them into going there. For the longest time, they only sold one size, but they added a second size some years ago.
Just last week, I ate at a pizza place in Suffolk VA (Sal's on Main Street) and they sell a 24" pizza. That thing is humongous. The pizza is pretty good, and just under Dino's as far as I am concerned.

NY style. Just one of the many realms in which NY >>>> Chicagoen-z-ioOut. Get out. Right now. btw, forbes ranked Chicago as #1 best downtown. Not that it means anything, but it does. ww.forbes.com/sites/johngiuffo/2011/10/14/americas-best-downtowns/
