Changing Mr. Popo was the right decision.

If you dont know, 4Kids changed the character Mr Popo (from DBZ) to a glowing blue that makes him more like a magician. I agree with the change that they did with Mr. Popo. Understand why I am saying this before you disagree.

Look up "black face" and understand how prejudice it is to portray the only seemingly black person in the cartoon as completely black, like, the actual color black, and then have the red lips as if he put on super gloss #2. Then to have a trubin on his head to bunch up a lot of minorities together with one character is terrible. His main duties was to be "the help" which is what most black characters in films back in the 40s,50s, and 60s had to play in order to get a role. Which made me cringe when I heard Kami say "you have kept the place nice"as soon as Kami came back due toPicollo being revived. I am not saying that Toriyama is a flat out racist, but you must understand why it can be seen this way, and it is definitely prejudice.

I never noticed until just now that Popo looked all black face. Then again, I haven't watched Dragon Ball for years.
