Which show do you prefer? They are both fantastic shows and imo they are the best drama on TV. Personally I prefer Breaking bad, but Dexter is amazing too.

I don't watch either of those series. It's fairly hard for me to get roped into watching regular series.
I've never seen Dexter. I absolutely LOVE Breaking Bad, it would be great if more people saw it. Its my current favorite series.
Breaking Bad is SO much better, it's more believable in a sense, although neither are super far fetched. They have alot of similar aspects but i feel that Breaking Bad is more dark and i dig that.FrostyPhantasm
Really? I don't think I'd agree with that, though I guess "dark" could mean different things. Dexter hunts people down and kills them just to feed his addiction. Walter cooks rocks to support his family. Dexter is an inherently evil character (regardless of what he tries to tell himself), while Walter only does it because he loves his family, something Dexter isn't even emotionally capable of.

Yes, but the way dexter pulls it off doesn't seem "evil" or "dark" it just seems like hes killing people, when someone dies in dexter your either "Well i saw that coming" or "That was unexpected and is all about how the plot changes" breaking bad, when a character dies you go "WHAAAAAT?!" and feel bad after. Although ill admit dexter was very good up until he got that GF, im glad that
they killed her

Breaking Bad is SO much better, it's more believable in a sense, although neither are super far fetched. A character death that leaves you reeling is powerful, but I wouldn't say dark. There are plenty of shows far from being considered dark that have characters die, but it's the prevalence of death in Dexter, and how you get immune to the shock factor of it because there's so much, until you step back and really look at what's happening. Dexter is just an eerie, creepy serial killer with a loose moral code. For me, it doesn't really get much darker than that. Agree to disagree I guess.

Fair enough, to be fair, Walter STARTED cooking because he had to pay for his cancer, but he received more than enough and kept going and started having psychological problems and even raped his wife in which they had a baby. In the later seasons
His wife is also cheating on him and hes still selling
But I accept to agree to disagree :)
Dexter.... Breaking Bad is good, but I really havent been a fan of this season, Ive missed like the last two episodes but really havent even been interested in watching them because the rest this season have been a let down compared to last season.SaintLeonidasI usually just lurk on OT but this really needs to be addressed. The last two current episodes have felt like the best shows this season and the scenes from them are definitively in my top 5 favorite scenes from breaking bad as a whole. You owe it to yourself to watch them. For me it seems like the episodes before it were building up to this edge of your seat 2 scenes.
I've never seen Dexter. Though I've heard that it's good, the basic premise just seems sort of ****ed up for me. A serial killer protagonist? Just doesn't seem up my alley.
However, Breaking Bad is AMAZING. I absolutely love that show, and Sunday's episode blew my ****ing mind.
Here's another question though...Breaking Bad, or Weeds? I just started watching Weeds recently (I just started on Season 5), and at first it seems like it would be a lot like Breaking Bad. A parent has money troubles and decides to start selling drugs. But Weeds, unlike Breaking Bad, is just constantly ****ing hilarious. So I'm wondering whether or not people prefer Breaking Bad or Weeds. As well as, who is the more "evil" character? Walter White, or Nancy Botwin?

The earlier episodes this season were establishing character development. You really SHOULD watch the last two episodes, because they were ****ing intense.
