So, I bought a 2-liter Dr. Pepper today and they have a promotion going on. Under the cap is a code and if you enter it online you have a 1in 6 chance to win FANtastice prizes!(their words, not mine). I normally have nothing to do with those, but i thought what the hey lets give it a try. I go to the website and enter the code, and now i find out i have to register for their website to be able to claim a prize. I take the time to register and I won a prize! A screensaver! not just any screensaver, though, a screen saver that is covered with the Dr. Pepper logo everywhere. As much as I want to do Dr. Pepper's job of advertising for them, i declined the download for fear that Dr. Pepper would take over my computer and turn it into a pepsi killing machine. Whatever happened to winning cool prizes under the cap, and you didn't have to go online to win them, like the good old days? WHY GOD?!?!?

Coke's been doing that for ages. I never enter. But I can't boycott Dr Pepper since I never drink it.....wouldn't mean a thing for me to not drink it.:lol:
At my work I drink quite a bit of sodas in a bottle, and I have collected almost 20 or so caps with each one a code underneath. And I have not redeemed any of them, cause I know it's all a scam.

I meant a machine that would target and kill pepsi products.

Simple. Because everyone's gonna look under the cap, but not everyone's gonna go online and enter in the code. If you look under the cap and it says you won $10,000 you're gonna claim the prize. But if you have the CODE that wins $10,000 and you don't go online and claim it, then they don't have to pay it.

Oh, I misunderstood. Regardless I think a Dr. Pepper killing machine would go after Coca Cola for making their equivalent Mr. Pibb. Pepsi does not have cola that resembles Dr. Pepper.
