I like their early albums like Dookie, I think they get a bit too much crap for their new stuff. The are not the worst band around and I can easily tolerate them.

My favorites are The Clash, Television, and Richard Hell.

Fear, The Misfits, Guitar Wolf. But of all of them I like Fear the best, and they are also from my hometown of L.A.

The Sex Pistols, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, The 4 Skins, The Ramones,etc, etc...

despite the fact that i'm Goth, i don't really enjoy punk music that much. i realize that punk music is what spawned Goth in the late 70's, but i do not enjoy its anarchist undertones. or at least the undertones that Punk intentionally had during the 70's as a revolt against the British government.

the closest to punk that i do like are Christian Death, 45 Grave, Alien Sex Fiend, Miguel and the Living dead, and the Last Days of Jesus. in actuallity, these are more Gothic Rock/Deathrock bands. but they contain punk elements.
