@ferrari2001: more than like 4 bucks for a single serving? I can get local "homemade" ice cream for less for the little shops around.

Meh. I was never bothered about GMO food in the first place. If it's more expensive now then I'd want them to switch back to it.

Success at charging $5 a pint because it's "healthier" for you! (even though their ice cream is still unhealthy overall)

Most consumer food is genetically modified through selective breeding. Look at corn: natural on left result of selected breeding middle and right.

The vast majority of those studies don't stand up to peer review. Example.

Just because you read it on the internets...

Ah yes a top 10 list filled with non peer reviewed studies and junk science research... There has been absolutely no conclusive evidence of yet that has been widely accepted by the science community as proof that GMO's are in fact harmful.. Hell even the name "GMO" is fvcking stupid ass name because it shows a clear lack of understanding in agriculture, every domesticated animal and crop has been genetically modified through thousands of years of breeding.. And before you say "buh buh that was natural it means that it's ok!".. No it doesn't, take dogs for instance, many of the breeds we have created have through "natural" breeding have serious health problems due to it.. And finally the FDA test GMO crops far more strictly then any other produce product on the market..

Furthermore I find the anti-GMO movement fvcking disgusting because they have used scare tactics to persuade certain African countries to refusing GMO food when their people are starving.. The fact of the matter is the world's population can not sustain on non-GMO crops and organic farming practices at this time..

There is also articles on scientist getting blacklisted and getting canned from their job for saying anything to

Either way wouldn't you rather have the legit thing? On top of that every farm that use GMO seeds use pesticides on the plants, which soaks up in the food that ends up in your system which results to higher risk of autism for your children and also linked to the extermination of bee population. Just alone for the bees, pesticides should be banned.

Wow wait a second, you do realise the vast majority of non GMO food produced uses pesticides too? Pesticides aren't exclusive to GMOs. If anything you should be pro GMO given you can make modifications for resistance against pests and diseases giving higher crop yields and less of a need to use pesticides. The ingredients Ben & Jerry's are switching to aren't going to be organic, they'll be plants coated in more pesticides than the previous GMO plants. By all means buy your fresh fruit and veg organic but you're just not going to see it in any pre-processed or package foods and GMO is the next best alternative.

Also don't believe the nonsense about cover ups and axed individuals and stuff, it's all the same as the farce around vaccinations, individuals make bogus claims against GMOs to gain funding grants and it gets spun into a stupid conspiracy, look into the case and you're guaranteed they were sacked with good reason. Try to find a legitimate paper that is canned, you won't be able to, it's impossible to unify the scientific community in some sort of cover up as it's too diverse. I find it infuriating that people keep insinuating this sort of stuff and ignore the fact there's thousands of honest individuals working for a fraction of the money they could do elsewhere purely in the interest of scientific advancement and the hope of solving a world food crisis so you or your children can have the same lifestyle you do now.
