Lostprophets are relativly known in the UK, but not in the US. I think they're really good.
Link A good vocal one.
Link A good instrumental one. Excuse the swearing, and the oppening is bad.
Link Good one overall.
Excuse the emoness of the first one, and swearing and opening of the second.:P

I am from the US and absolutely love the band! Sure they have gone downhill but they still pulled off that pop sound better than almost every band out there (Muse makes pop amazing).
I still think their first album is their best followed by their second. I just found out that their awesome drummer left after "Start Something" which is saddening as I have come to find him VERY talented. Their bassist also has some awesome riffs in the first album.
It's amazing how much the band has changed their sound.
They started off like this.
Then they went to this.
And then they went pop. (Witness how amazingly catchy they are when they go pop. Proof that pop can be awesome!)
Suppossedly they are going back to a heavy sound with the new album. I cannot WAIT to see what they put out.
The band actually has alot of special meaning to me personally as I found them right when I began a very dificult part of my life so they have a special place in my mind.
Anyways, another few bands that need more attention:
The Human Abstract (Absolutely INSANE level of talent in this band. Their guitarist (actually ex-guitarist as he left) is probably the best around now and if you don't believe me check out the solo that goes from 1:58 to the end of the song)
Earshot (Their singer is criminally underrated)
Oomph (If Rammstein is so successful why hasn't their main inspiration gotten any credit?)
