My favorite episodes are Day of Days (shows the intensity of the drop, and how they were outnumbered). And also the medic episode, Bastogne, because it showed how much trouble medics went through just to keep health and morale. lonewolf604Dude, PLEASE read the OP. I explained everything there. There WILL be 2 more polls. You will have your chance to talk about everything after the first 5 parts later. Right now though, just the first 5. Now, I like your choices, but you talking about Part 6 (Bastogne) is premature. Right now, anyway.
I forgot to add episode 9, Why We Fight, which showed the concentration camp.lonewolf604
Episode 9 has to be my favorite as well. As a soldier, I find it important to know what I'm fighting for, and that episode shows one of the best reasons to be fighting.
I was suspended for 2 weeks for using a racial slur. Here are the details if you are interested: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/29359067/how-is-the-word-quotjapquot-offensiveive nothing to say about BoB,

Yep. and close behind that one is episode 7. Donnie Walhberg is a pretty good actor. I kind of teared up when he became LT.[QUOTE="konvikt_17"]I was suspended for 2 weeks for using a racial slur. I honestly did not know that it was a racial slur. I had been interested in the Pacific Theater since I was like 5, and I had always used those terms when talking about the war..... I never really caught on to that term being considered racially offensive. And on another issue..... the jokers in this thread are pissing me the fvck off.Band of Brothers is the best mini-series/movie ever made, and not just about WWII...
Out of the first 5, Carentan or Day of Days is the best. My overall favorite episode will be on a later poll, though.
The best episode is easily bastogne. It shines because the narrative doesn't shift around constantly. Everything with the medic is more compelling than anything else in the series.
I really enjoyed Carentan, though it's slightly soured for me due to some artistic liberties taken with the shocked soldier's story. KHAndAnimeYou mean Blithe? Yeah, he was not shot in the neck as portrayed in Part 3. Just the guys watching THOUGHT that he was pinked in the neck. He was actually shot in the shoulder. And, he did not die from his wounds in 1948. He lived, and even fought in Korea.
There's something I love about Curahee. The men at Tocoa and dealing with Sobel gave a lot of the characters a much needed introduction that some war films tend to easily forget. It's breathtaking when the C47s begin to take off with Michael Kamen's soaring score overtop everything (my favourite piece of music out of the entire series), and there's this moment at the end of the episode when they're over the English channel, you see the entire navy and landing force on the water in the moonlight. I get chills just thinking about it :)
