I just stumbled upon this ad on youtube in the suggested videos and boy, did the comments give me a good LOL' from the American car fanboys. Isn't Chrysler Italian btw?! Apparrently too, Eminem is suing, but I see no reason why he will win as they just used a cover of his song "Lose Yourself" :P

Chrysler is trying to advertise their new cars as "luxury" when in reality they look just as **** as the old ones and should be considered a joke tbh. I'll stick to Cadillac and even Lincoln; CTS-V ooooohhhhh mmmmmmmmmmmm yessss lol.

edit: oh, and the new 300 totally ripped off of Audi's day time LEDs, this is probably payback for that :P

What exactly is the point of this thread? Seems like you're just needlessly going off on Chrylser for no reason. No offense.

This is a very controversial-viral commercial and deserves to be seen by more people, I'm just giving my opinion on it like anything else on this forum ;) While I've seen Chevy and Ford take HUGE steps forward, all I've seen Chrysler do it take steps sideways honestly (aside from the Jeep brand).

Also Eminem's label is supposedly suing Audi, so that in itself is very controversial wouldn't you say:|

People seriously think the marketing team at Audi said, "Hey guys, let's COPY Chrysler and make a BA commercial, we have no ideas!" I think it went more like, "These Americans think they can rip off our models and make luxury cars?! Let's MOCK Chrysler and show them how a real company makes luxury cars." IMO of course!

Each country has their own marketing team. The Chrysler commercial was shown in the U.S. and the Audi commercial was clearly from Germany. So who knows what the marketing team of germany was thinking, perhaps you are right.

I think it was also made just so it would get tons of views and publicity, making the car even more known to the public. Very smart on Audi's part I believe.

Chrysler's ownership is split between Fiat, United Auto Workers (an American labor union) and the government of Canada. Calling it Italian is a stretch. Using that logic you could call Vauxhall and Opel American cars, since both are owned by General Motors.

Like I said earlier, Audi wants publicity for it's new A6 wagon model and what better way to due that than mock Chrysler's 12 MILLION PLUS viewed Ad and winner of best Superbowl commercial.

Just because it's owned from a company from another nation doesn't mean all the manufacturing and revenue go to that other company...Jaguar is owned by an Indian company, but nobody calls it an Indian car. Another example is Lamborghini, who is owned by Audi, who themselves are owned by Volkswagen AG.

I'm surprised Chrysler did that. GM is obvious since it switches with Toyota monthly for #1 in the world and obviously the trucks from Chevy and ford sell themselves, but Chrysler I didn't know still sold all that well.

Their new marketing campaign is genius, alongside the fact that their cars really are improving. The Chrystler 200 and 300 are fantastic cars, and again, along with that advertising campaign (which, from living in Michigan, I personally know it literally had people feeling emotional) have really improved that company.

By the way, dealing with the video, IMO it was a pretty silly advertisement. The Chrystler ads actually are somewhat relevent and deal with the rebuilding of a once great city, while this advertisement...Deals with a rich guy in an Audi, who is driving to his....fencing match?

and its more than just Chrysler there is dodge and jeep. jeep is quiet popular and dodge has done well with minivans and the challenger and charger which are always bought up and tricked out (hood vehicles) as is the 300.

Yeah, Ford and Chevy will always be the standouts in the American market, especially Ford, who can easily sell their cars with no problems throughout the whole world (GM can too, but not with the popular reception of Ford, who has consistently been making great cars).

Well with GM, it's an overall combination, but dealing with Chrystler, I don't know if that's dealing with all of the Chrystler group or just Chrystler individually.

[QUOTE="Pirate700"] and its more than just Chrysler there is dodge and jeep. jeep is quiet popular and dodge has done well with minivans and the challenger and charger which are always bought up and tricked out (hood vehicles) as is the 300. xbox360isgr8t

Yeah I agree with you on the rest of Chrystler group too. Jeep and Dodge are definitely improving a lot (I like the new Jeeps a lot).

[QUOTE="taj7575"]

By the way, dealing with the video, IMO it was a pretty silly advertisement. The Chrystler ads actually are somewhat relevent and deal with the rebuilding of a once great city, while this advertisement...Deals with a rich guy in an Audi, who is driving to his....fencing match?

Hahahaha well, that's Audi for you in a nutshell :P

Lol, thats the problem with audi :P. They are very well engineered, built with solid materials...But a lot of them are very boring.

I love the Audi racecars, they make fantastic ones. Dealing with normal civilian cars though, that's the problem.

[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"]Audi copies a competitors commercial and they are ripping them a new one? Did I miss something here? -RocBoys9489-
People seriously think the marketing team at Audi said, "Hey guys, let's COPY Chrysler and make a BA commercial, we have no ideas!" I think it went more like, "These Americans think they can rip off our models and make luxury cars?! Let's MOCK Chrysler and show them how a real company makes luxury cars." IMO of course!

Bolded: That's exactly what they did.

I'll stick to Cadillac and even Lincoln; CTS-V ooooohhhhh mmmmmmmmmmmm yessss lol.

-RocBoys9489-

So you like garbage vehicles?

Cadillac? Is it 1970 when that build was competitive? lol

Watch the CTS-V, read the comments, nuff said'

Yeah and if the asking price for them was in the 18-24k range they wouldn't be comic relief

Sad thing is that they expect that crapbox to compete with real high end cars lol
