As a guy, are you supposed to be able to lift and carry a girl?

I've never been in a situation where I had to do that but I'm not really strong at all..I'm not sure if I could even pick up a 120-lb. girl. I mean I could be romantic in other ways.

If she's around 120lb, you should be able to lift her up. But if she's humongous, then I think you're ok

But it really depends on the girl's type.

Lemme put it this way, if you're the lanky, skinny type - and the girly you're with likes that sort of thing, to her you'd be the perfect guy and I doubt she'd expect you to be able to pick her up like a ragdoll. And just in case you're wondering, yes, there are girls that like their men lanky.

However, if the chick in question likes bulky men that can literally sweep her off her feet, then chances are, you're pretty safe there too. Since yanno... you're not her type and therefore you won't find yourself in this embarassing situation.

you have to be pretty weak to not be able to pick up a chick of average size (120-130 lbs) especially considering they are going to be holding onto you which leaves your arms with not much to carry JPOBS

My boyfriend tried to give me a piggy back ride once and we fell over :( I weigh only about 105lbs.

If you want to carry a girl work out more! :P or just get a really small girl!

You'd be amazed at what you can lift when you put your mind to it. I play Rugby (it's an all girls team) and I had to carry a team-mate across the field during practice one day, I'm almost hurled just thinking about liftinga girltriple my size, but I did it without any problems and was actually rewarded for doing so; by rewarded I mean I was actually recognized for my -extreme- effort! :D

What if I just don't care about trying to pick a girl up? I mean she can lie down with me or sit on my lap or something other than having me walk around carrying her.

You should be able to carry her I'm 5'6 and 110 pounds and carried my friend who's a girl who's 130-140 pounds down 8 flights of stairs with ease I only stopped because we reached the bottom :P
