Recently, I bought a new pair of headphones because my old pair was beginning to have problems. Out of just pure convenience, I went on to Amazon.com and began my browsing for my new pair there. Yet, there is a Best Buy about a mile down the street from me and could have done the same thing. The difference with Amazon.com and Best Buy is I dont have to leave my home and begin browsing within seconds. If I were to go Best Buy, it would take me 5-7 minutes to arrive at the store for me to start browsing and if my plan is to look at the stuff they got to go home to think about it, I would have spent 10-14 minutes of my time traveling.

I did buy new pair of headphones on Amazon.com without even thinking about going to Best Buy. Not picking on Best Buy, but just pointing out how irrelevent brick and mortar stores are to me, compared to the internet. The only thing I would never buy over the internet is groceries or shoes. Soon I have a nephew's birthday party coming up in a couple of months and the first place I go to browse for his gifts is at Amazon.com.

Last time I went into Best Buy, I wanted to buy a video game. They didnt have the game I was looking for, so I went home and bought it from Amazon.com. One thing I hate most is walking out of a store empty handed, to me its a total waste of time and energy to go a place with nothing.

Best buy stuff is WAY overpriced compared to how much you can get it on Amazon. I can't stand going there & seeing the overpriced products they get ppl to buy.

Best Buy ONLY for their DVD releases on Tuesdays, usually for box sets and such. Otherwise, it's Amazon.

Amazon. Cheaper, better selection and less interaction with moronic employees. Win all around.

In the past it would be Amazon. But now since I just moved to Kansas where Amazon charges tax I might as well check out Best Buy to see if I will find a similar price. For the same item. Regardless of where I live check out Best Buy anyway to see if they have any deals especially since they had the special edition of Soul Calibur 5.

I rarely buy anything when I go to Best Buy since I mostly just like to browse the pc section. That being said I don't buy much off of Amazon either. I'm more likely to go to Target which is about two minutes away from my house.

I go to Best Buy to buy big appliances (like game consoles and TV's because they have the best selection and an incredible return policy. There was a TV my aunt bought and she bought the extra warranty on it, I think it was like 10 bucks. Anyways, her kids knocked over the TV, and Customer Service gave them a new TV of the same type and a $50 gift card. I thought it was rather nice, so if anything happens to any of my electronics, this is what I shall do.) Amazon or Target usually get my business for smaller things (like little iPods, video games, and batteries.)

The names of both of the shopping centers actually illustrates the options as they are known to me: A) Amazon (gets me what I need with ease and at a low price) B) Best Buy (rarely comes down to option B anymore, but it's there if I need it)

The smart thing to do was to shop online for the item you wanted. See if it was available at bestbuy.com and linking it to your store. If it was available then buy it from your store online and then going to pick it up.

One - instead of waiting for your item through the mail it would've been available for you at your store and u coul've picked it up the same day.

Two - ONline you pay tax and shipping (unless it was a free-shipping item).

Three - From reading your post it seems as though you're just too lazy to make the effort. Sooo, scratch my idea. It'll most likely be too much work. LOL

I will go to Best Buy if they have any good deals on video games, but otherwise Amazon. Also Best Buy's instore headphone selection is horrible, Beats, Bose, Skullcandy, and Souls, the quartet of overpriced ****.

Why when the item is cheaper on amazon and if it's sold by amazon it's always free shipping unless you select 1-2 day delivery. Prime, 2 day is free. And depending where you live, there is no tax on amazon. I live in CA so no tax and free shipping.

I If it's cheaper on Amazon then buy from Amazon. I'm just pointing out you shouldn't assume something is always cheaper wtihout doing your homework first Do some online shopping, compare the prices, and then make your decision. The topic was created saying he didn't even check anywhere else even though there's a brick and mortar store close buy. When I shop I usually visit several sites and then make a decision.

They're going to be building a warehouse or something in Patterson so they will soon. Although I wish they wouldn't. This state doesn't deserve the money.

Amazon. Not only are they cheaper, with fast/free shipping most of the time, but you also have the benefit of user reviews right next to the product.

I assume anyone who still reguarly shops at Best Buy for most of their related needs hasn't discovered the internet yet.

Lol, Best Buy all day. Amazon hasn't been proactive just reactive for a while now. Best buy seems to have better deals lately. Deal of the day, Gamer magazines, etc. Plus Best Buy has a price match policy which is going to be extended to 60 for silver members.:o. Just Best buy all day son. Not to mention the fact that BB will be giving you a 20 gift card when pre-ordering select games.
