Two stand out for me: Gregory Hines (RIP) was an incredibly nice man. I was a little kid when I met him and although he was busy working he took time out to chat. The second would be James Earl Jones, who is smart as hell, and is just a lot of fun to talk to without any references to movies and the like. He seems completely grounded, and famous or not he's the kind of man you'd want to talk to.
Yep, I've met local politicians. I've even seen the Irish Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, in person.michaelP4
I'm suprised you even recognised him to be honest. Blandness personified.
I've seen and/or met a few famous heads like Paul McGrath, the Irish rugby team etc.
I also see Bono down the pub now and again.
I met Tim Burton, the movie director. He directed Mars Attacks and a lot of the movie was shot here in Kansas. My now-ex wife got a part as an extra. She is the little oriental woman that runs out of the farm house at the beginning of the movie to watch the burning cows run by.
I went to pick her up from the shooting location after the first day and Mr. Burton took the time to introduce himself and actually apologized because they screwed up the shot the first time and needed my wife back for a second day. Not sure why he felt the need to apologize since she got paid for every hour she was there.
Seemed like an OK guy. Weird, but ok.
Back when I was in Jr. High, a teacher at my school met Cameron Diaz and Criss Angel. Apparently she was nice but he was just a complete ****.It's no fun hearing about how celebrities are nice. I want to hear some dirt.
Does anyone have any stories about celebrities being total jerks?

Mark Eaton (retired NBA player), Tia Mowry at a Laker game, Torrie Wilson, and most of the cast from That 70's Show (went to TV taping and met everyone except Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher). And when I worked in the mall and I helped Sasha Vujacic and Michelle Kwan.

GET OVER HERE!!! On Topic: I met the entire Philadelphia Eagles team when i was younger and I met Bill Cosby twice. Bill Cosby is getting old, fat, and boring btw. When I was in middle school I met Mr. T. He was in Atlanta for another engagement and he took the time to speak to the school. That was in the early 90s. In Kuwait before we went to war with Iraq I met Ted Koppel. He was actually living with us (but in a different tent) covering the buildup for the war. After returning from Iraq but while I was still in Kuwait waiting to leave I met Arnold Schwarzenegger. During my third trip th Iraq I met Diamond Dallas Page. I'm not going to count the multiple WWE stars I've seen in person since those were at live events where I was in the audience. I can say I met Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox since I took pictures with them before Wrestlemania started in Atlanta.
If you consider Elizabeth Warren or Scott Brown famous, then yeah, I've met them. Also I've met a few localnews anchors...
I really have not met anybody famous... :|
Ive met The devil wears prada, August burns red, and A day to remember at warped tour. oh and good morning america came to our school when they did that road trip thing or whatever
A couple of people I could have had a chat with but lost my balls were Ana Mantronix and Sacha Baron Cohen. I was with a handful of others who were touring with Scissor Sisters who were chatting away merrily, but I kind of sat there like a sad lemon utterly devoid of anything to say. Opportunity missed. I remember getting a long lift ride above a little art studio in London with Sacha Baron Cohen. Small lift just me and him, dressed as Ali G (albeit with jodpurs on). I stood awkwardly trying not to look at the obvious, wheras in hindsight I really should have turned around and given him a cuddle. I wish I had. I think he would have liked that, and this pointless little story would actually be far more interesting than it has proven to be.
