Just got a mason jar from a co-worker. It has peach flavor but still pretty much tastes like gasoline. Don't think I would light a match around it. What's the best way to drink this?
Nope. One it's illegal (the real stuff. Not the stuff that's trendy in liquor stores), and two I don't think, because of culture, we have it here in SoCal.
I hate moonshine, it taste so bad. I once saw it eat through a 2 liter bottle. I then questioned what would it do to my liver. I dont know how people drink it.
Yeah, me and a friend got a mason jar of it when I was younger. We both threw up not too long after drinking it. I haven't had any in years though. I'm more of a beer guy now but do have strong spirits on occasion.
Thought moonshine was illegal to sell but legal to drink and produce. Seems like you can get the same effect from drinking rubbing alcohol. I don't like how socially except able it is to drink alcohol but weed is supposibly dangerous.

The taxes here are retarded. If you buy a pack of beer, you pay sales tax, alcohol tax, and the most absurd, recycling/can tax. Yeah, same here mostly. And the VAT is calculated over the price after excise so I pay tax on taxes (same with gas). Drinkers and smokers are the people that get f*cked the most. Raising excises is a an easy and not too controversial way of filling budgetary holes.

still, usually if you want to hide a fruit flavored liquor, you mix it with soda flavored the same way. i haven't really heard of a lot peach sodas though.
US Moonshine, No. But I have tasted Russian Homemade vodka and the Norwegian version of "moonshine". Didn't take too many glasses before my ability to walk was affected.
I live and grew up in Kentucky, so yes, I grew up taking swigs of the stuff. It really depends on how it's made and what its made with. There are lots of dumbasses that make it with stuff that can really kill you. These are typically the same Kentuckians that don't wear shoes and marry their Auntsisters. But if you get hold of some that was made by someone that cares and know what they are doing it can actually be pretty good, although it still packs a whallop. The good stuff is not bad mixed with Juice or Soda.
Sure have. It's the only thing I've needed a chaser with. I drink 80 proof straight out of the bottle no problem but not 'shine. The stuff I had was wickedly strong. Not something I'd give away to highschoolers.
I did once and never will again. Don't remember much from that night other than going to jail over getting into a fight with my father. Taste like I drank rubber alcohol. Good luck with that stuff.
Growing up in Kentucky, I've had plenty. Depending upon who makes it, it can range from awful swill to surprisingly smooth and delicious. My favorite was always peppermint shine. I was never a heavy drinker, though, so about a shot worth of it would do me pretty well.
First, it is potentially lethal. Â Moonshiners generally won't test their product. Â At the least, it is far far worse for your body than commercial alcohols.
Second, flavor. Â I like alcohol for the most part. Â Beer, rum, vodka, gin...the list goes on. Â It tastes good to me. Â Moonshiners are generally the opposite of this: they focus on alcohol % and intoxication, not sensory enjoyment and moderation.
Third, it is illegal. Â Not going to buy something illegal when superior and legal products exist.
Yes, a friend of mine makes quite a bit of it. It tastes really good when mixed with Mountain Dew and I've never got a hangover from it. I only drink it at home because if you get pulled over with moonshine you might as well have a pound of weed in the car. I'll take Apple Pie over it any day of the week though.
A friend of mine makes an absolutely great mild vodka-tasting moonshine, so I've had some of his but I'd never accept it from someone I don't know. Malicious intent or not it's still a delicate process.
