As a current student at The University of Alabama, I'm extremely excited for this game. So I was wondering, who does OT think will win or want to win?

I don't like Saban.. he lacks character and has no honor, but he's a good football coach.
I think Alabama wins...

I'm pulling for my conference. I'm also an SEC fan. I love my conference. I'm just thankful that we at least lost to a team of that caliber.
[QUOTE="x8VXU6"]how r u a gator fan and u want the team beat use to win come on man Wouldn't you rather your team have lost to the best?[QUOTE="LikeHaterade"]

That too. :P
....who deserves to be there more than texas?Texas shouldn't even be there. I think Alabama kills them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Florida's performance against Cincinnati just shows what kind of team Alabama truly is.we played a crappy game thats the only reason bama won Excuses, excuses. Props to LikeHaterade because he's pulling for his conference. Nice to see some fellow students on OT as well.[QUOTE="Yoshi25"][QUOTE="Parandrus"]I'm hoping Alabama stomps all over Texas.x8VXU6

Florida's offense is not THAT good this year

[QUOTE="Saxsoon"]Roll Tide Texas doesn't deserve to be there. Who did they honestly beat of worth? Their 3 toughest games were against the Aggies, a crappy 6-6 team, a downtrodden OU, and Nebraska. I say this as an Aggie with the crap 6-6 team. Big XII sucks this year.lazzordudeagain, who deserves it more? ill give you that the big 12 is not to par this year, but is still better than the big east, mac, and wac.
The MAC? Well, that came out of left field. I think it's consensus that the MAC is inferior to everyone else. If I'm not mistaken they didn't win a bowl game this year and their bowl track record the past couple of years isn't good.

No one. I can refute anyone who says TCU or Boise.
I'm a current student at UA too TC, so I say Roll Tide!!
Refute how? By pointing to their schedules? People won't play Boise State. That's a fact they have trouble scheduling because the big boys don't wanna lose. Although I must give props to Virginia Tech for playing them next year. And Oregon State does too. Way to not be afraid. And Texas Tech dropped TCU this year. Hmmm...
And let's go to Alabama's out of conference games: Virginia Tech, Florida International, North Texas, and Chatanooga. All I can say is simply: Wow. Now I am not saying that they don't deserve to be in the championship game cuz they do but would it be so bad to schedule ya know...teams? (No disrespect to those last 3 but come on)

Just to add something. Most 'smaller' schools only get a 2 for 1 deal when they play the 'big' schools...they play two games at the big school and only get the big school to play once at their place. Boise has tried (in vain) to just get the big schools to play them...at all...just get a game AT the big school (no home game)...and the big schools still refuse -which will likely continue after the Oregon game this yearhow r u a gator fan and u want the team beat use to win come on man How are you able to form a coherent sentence and not realize that losing to the #1 team looks a lot better than losing to #2?[QUOTE="LikeHaterade"]

People are afraid to schedule Boise? Since 2000, BSU is 5-8 against teams from BCS conferences, and 0-4 against the SEC. This is including bowl games. Don't try and tell me that they would go undefeated if they played in a BCS conference.
Now for schedules. Alabama played the 12th toughest schedule in the country. Texas the 49th. TCU the 82nd. BSU the 98th. These are from the Sagarin ratings, which base SOS off of the performance of the teams on the schedule, without regard to assumed conference strength. Meaning, a win against Wyoming=a win against Florida=a win against Baylor. You can't argue that TCU or BSU played a tough schedule.
Well, if Texas wins then I get to work over-time. Which means more money. So I hope Texas wins. Not that I care about football, but I do work at the university co-op (official store for UT)and you get a bunch of people coming to the store to buy orange longhorn crap every time they win or when there's a game.

yes, as it puts their team in a trap game situation.[QUOTE="TaCoDuDe"]

yes, as it puts their team in a trap game situation. That may be true. It's a lose-lose scenario. But it terms of the actual football being played, it's simply not true.
Bama, I'm just hoping it will be a good game. I don't see Texas scoring much. Maybe to much of my SEC pride/hatred of Texas, being an Arkansas Razorback fan though.btaylor2404I'm hoping for a blowout...that'd make my year. Arkansas in my opinion was one of the most underrated teams this year. They had a tough schedule, but were an outstanding team.

Thanks, I thought so too, we're on the right track (and were 2 plays from a 10 win season), and by good game, just be close into the 3rd, then let Bama outscore em 35-0 in 2nd half. So like 38/42-3/6.

K...I never said they would go undefeated if they were in a BCS conference. Why didn't I say that? Because it's totally correct. They wouldn't. But yeah people are afraid to schedule them. As someone else enforced, schools won't even play Boise coming to their building. I am not gonna look for quotes or anything because 1. I know what I'm talking about and have heard/read such and 2. It's out there. You can look. And I won't argue TCU or BSU played a tough schedule. Especially Boise State. They are men amongst boys in the WAC. They need to get out of there.
