It's one of those laws. If you break it, you get consequences in result. But yeah, jail is rather harsh imo. Also being labeled as a sexual predator for the rest of your life is pretty over the top too. If she was 18, nothing would have come of this. But really, is there THAT much of a difference between 15 and 18 years old? I'm sure she knew what she was doing. Yes it's a little uncommon for a 26 year old to have sex with a 15 year old, but the law makes it like this man forced her into it against her will and caused harm to her. I bet she enjoyed it...
