I don't want to spend more than $100... thinking about getting the Sennheiser HD 212's which are about $60. For those of you who have these headphones, how do you like them? And what other recommendations do you all have.

i've heard some really good things about grado headphones but i've never tried them so I can't recommend them myself

I have the sony MDR-V6 headphones and those are excellent. You really can't go wrong with them. they've been making them since the 80's and it's still in production, there's a good reason for that.  Most people buy these for studio use but they are great for music too

sony

as far as the Beats by Dr. Dre, it's overpriced for what it is. I hate the bass response from the headphones because it doesn't come out natural. There are better headphones you can get for less

I heard the audio leakage on the Grado isn't very good, and I don't like having my music blaring out of my headphones for everyone to hear. is this true?

who cares? if its a public place, people can deal with it. but are you really gonna be walking around, in school, or riding the bus/train with some big earcup headphones? switch to in-ear headphones for that, like normal people do.

and lol @ dr dres headphones and skull candy

The grados are only good at home. Waay too much sound leakage, and it isint a particularly good looking headphone.

Orlando, The HD 212's are great for the price. From what I've heard, they have very good bass response, unlike the  "muddy" bass on the Beats (IMO, of course.). They also don't cost a ridiculous amount of money.

I think I saw the 212 pro's on amazon for about $40. Thats a great price for great headphones.

Oh, and you can never go wrong with a pair of Sony MDR's.

The headphones I plan on buying next are the Sennheiser HD 205's. Their major negative reviews are about their tight fit, but I have no problem with that. They look really nice too:

Dre's headphones are like $300.

I like Sennheiser. I have a pair and they are the best I ever had, best i ever had, best i ever had...er sorry, anyways...

You can't go wrong with Sennheiser but I'm not crazy about the over the ear style. Feels like I should be at the shooting range. So I got the "on ear" style or whatever. I don't like buds either.

I have a pair of Sennheiser CX 300's that I use with my zune. They're in ears but they block out some of the outside noise and sound decent. I got them for twenty at the time but they have CX-300 II's now for about $50.

So I'd say go with Sennheiser personally.

Those were the other pair I was mainly considering. My roommate has a pair of Grado SR80's and they sound great.

Also, I listened to a little of Constrobuz Beats Vol. 3 with the SR80's the other day and it sounded a lot doper than before:D

Can anyone reccomend some headphones for running? I've tried using the default buds but they end up falling out of my ear. What's a good around the ear one for a decent price with good sound.

I ended up getting the Sennheiser 212's for $50 off Amazon, should be here by Friday. Also considered the Sennheiser 555's which were down to $100 on Amazon for a little earlier yesterday.

I'm not expecting the 212's to be as good as the SR80's I tried the other day but the 212's are still supposed to be a great value for only $50.

You're not missing out on mich, don't worry. The 212's are still amazing headphones.

Tbh, Skullcandy's are more style over substance. And their bass is waay to fake, or "muddy".

can anyone recommend good in-ear headphones? i seem to always get really bad ones... and they seem to all be exactly the same, so i can never distinguish between the good and the bad.
