Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Bundle Dated With Price Cut

Buyers get Wind Waker HD early AND the Wii U Deluxe gets a $50 price slash across the board. Thoughts?

Would be nice if Nintendo threw early adopters a 50 dollar eshop credit, but whatever. I would have snatched this bundle if I didn't already have a WiiU though.

I was hoping for a gold gamepad (I would've traded my current Wii U one for this bundle) but that's nice too. 

In the UK they are also doing Ganondorf action figure bundle 

If this becomes available in the US thats insta-preorder, baby.

Smart move for Nintendo.  The gamepad artwork will probably cost them 50 cents and the digital game only costs them server bandwidth.  If I didn't already have a Wii U I would definitely get this.

Wow, the Gamepad looks great, and the whole package is worth the price.

Let's hope the Wii U will pick up some speed from that.

I think its a good deal, not as impressed with the controller...its a normal black one with a little paint on it

While I prefer the flash memory + usb drive options, it would be nice if Nintendo at least shipped a $30-$50 120GB to 250GB HDD. i mean PDP already has one that they likely sell at a huge profit for $80 in gamestop

Nothing? They knew (possibly you) what they were getting into.

History says Nintendo platforms get price drops within 10 months of release and only 3DS got something for it and ONLY because it was barely 4 months since launch.

The N64 received a price drop within 7 months, Cube within 6 months, Nintendo DS in 10 months too.

Sold my Basic 8 GB WiiU and pre-ordered the bundle.

I did actually have the wind waker hd bundle on pre-order from game.co.uk but I cancelled it, I do love the wii u in terms of hardware and innovation but the games are quite lacking if im honest.

Mass effect 3 I can play on different platforms, zombi u i found quite tedious, pikmin 3 im really not interested in, i have played the first two on gamecube for at least 5-6 hours each but i couldn't get into to them, and the wind waker hd I have already played on the gamecube aswell and completed, so it doesn't really compel into buying one, even with donkey kong tropical freeze, sonic lost world, new super mario world, etc. which i dont find interesting either. Nintendos games in my opinion feel more like the upgrades rather than actually new games.

I do actually like the gamepad, hardware and so on, but with no spectacular games even for the next 1-2 years IN MY OPINION I can't justify paying the hefty £300.00 for one. i'll maybe buy one in about 2-3 years, that's just me though.

Look at all the games they got to enjoy in the last year!

I mean Nintendo has been pumping out game after game, GOD it's like every two weeks since launch there's been a high level retail release.

Then they have all the virtual console games that have been released on the Wii U that take advantage of the Wii U gamepad!

What's best is that once this console is released and they want to own another for maybe the bedroom Nintendo's worked feverishly on allowing users to move their user accounts back and forth between machines!
