The Wii has always had internal memory but the amount of memory is by no means as large as its competitors. However, the SD Slot allows for excellent memory expansion.
Also, the Wii doesn't need DVD capabilities considering a lot of people have multiple DVD players in their houses.
And HD isn't a necessity.
The new XBOX 360 got wifi, a big feature that it was missingtony1221
Which it needed to begin with...
You have a point, but Nintendo wants to ensure 100% compatibility so there won't be any hardware upgrades untill the next console. Maybe they will make a new controller upgrade or whatnot.
Nintendo is probably going to fix everything that is "wrong" with the Wii in the next gen console. Which is really kinda pathetic, since many of the upgrades will be things that existed in the current generation on other consoles.
[QUOTE="tony1221"]at least the HD and dvd playing functions can be added. The new XBOX 360 got wifi, a big feature that it was missingnchanyou want dvd playback? Why? the world revolves around Blu-ray now. But yes, I would agree with you, Nintendo should just release a Wii HD, but since the wii still sells like crazy, there is no need for Wii HD from Nintendo's perspective.
Not really. From my experiences dvds still sale better then blu rays
Think about it, whats the point. The wii is selling like crazy the way it is and will continue to do so. They will address probably all those problems you listed once they make their next gen console.
??? what current Wii is not small enough for you?...even compared to the competitors slim console, Wii is still the most compact.
The other consoles have HAD to do that to try and improve sales, Nintendo has not had to. And besides, when has Nintendo EVER done that with one of their consoles?
