The Wiimote isn't as sensitive or precise enough to do that kind of "game"
With the distance that most people sit from their TV's it would be like trying to paint or draw with a 6-10 foot pencil or brush.
It would have disaster written all over it

Couldn't you just adjust the sensitivity for the game like you could in LCT? It would make pointer movements slower, which could be good for a painting game, and it would increase the precision that you need for painting. I think it could work.

You're still talking a 8 foot pencil though
Take a piece of paper the size of your TV and tape it on the wall. Then take a broom handle and tape a pencil on the end. Grab the other end of the broom and try to draw something.
I was really excited for Bob Ross Painting on the Wii until I started to think more about it. It sounds like a great idea just how Photoshop is great with a PC. The difference is that the control is much more accurate on the PC and your hand is always stabilized.
With a "standard" controller you have stability and control. It's certainly not as intuitive but at the same time it's not as awkward.

I think that's a bad comparison. The broom would be much harder to control than the wiimote. Also, as I said, you could slow it down so much so that small, unintentional hand movements would mean nothing on your in-game canvas. You can't do that with your broom idea.

what about with wii motion plus?
The motion plus will be used to enhance the motion controls of the wiimote and will not affect the IR pointer. With that said, I can't imagine M+ helping a painting game.

oh ok. Then i also do not think that this game would work out well
I think it would be sweet. Just have it come with a software update, and the possibilities are endless.
Allow it to upload photos ala SD cards so you can paint mustaches (yes...I went there) on people's face...or whatever you heart desires.
Also have mini games like Mario Paint did...such as the fly swatter game.
There could be a tutorial as well. It could work alot better than most of you think, and actually be fun.
Call it Mario Paint Wii, and Mario on the cover with a paint brush, palette', and one of those little french hats. IT WOULD SELL MILLIONS!

I think Captain K Rool deserves a game of his own. What better way to start his career then a painting game?
