What's your thoughts on Guitar Hero III?

My Wii version is currently tucked away in a closet waiting for Christmas. I'm excited to play the newest installment, but have heard it doesn't compare to the other consoles. Any thoughts?

it's the same gameplay, but the graphics aren't as good as the other versions. you can go online and they are working on DLC right now.

i heard the PS3 version is the worst.

guitar hero has gone down hill. The new one is exactly the same as the first one.With the exception of the boss battles which arent that fun.studwig

I don't know what's the deal with this game? I mean "hardcore" gamers are pissed off over "casual" games. Now, they are praising Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Both are casual games.

As someone who has played hard rock/metal/shred guitar for real since the mid-'80s, I've never "gotten" the Guitar Hero franchise. Obviously the games arevery popular, but I wonder how many real guitarists/musicians play them. I'm not knocking the game or people who play it by any means, I'm just saying that I don't relate :-)

Everyone knows the game is nothing like real guitar. It's just a very fun rythym game with great music.

Is the DLC confirmed or are you just hoping? Because my roommate has a 360 and I have a Wii. and without DLC the 360 version just seems like the better choice. I'd like to be able to have it for my wii though for when our lease is up.
