This game will set a standard for all-to-come DS games, hopefully. Maybe it will break the barrier that is pokemon (8.5) that is the highest score on the Ds, I think?
Actually, there are 13 games with a higher score than Pokemon on the DS, the top being Mario Kart DS with a 9.2 and Advance Wars: Dual Strike with a 9.2
I think it will get either 8.0 or 8.5. I doubt it will get anything above that but there's a possibility it could get a 9.0Soulreavercross
My thoughts exactly. I'm actually not looking forward to Phantom Hourglass as much as I should be. >.> Tales of Innocence is the only DS game that seems to interest me. Silly PSP/360/PS2/Wii/all the other consoles/handhelds that suck up my time instead of the DS. >.>
after all the gameplay vids i saw(and hell yeah the game is awesome),it should get above 9.. but gamespot will give it 8 most probably.
but then again,will i be getting it? theres ninja gaiden and dementium:the ward coming out in the same month,october that is.i have to get two of them...which ones? :(
One of the reviewers from GI said in his review that it was not only the best ds game of the year but one of the best games on any system this year. This is Gamespot however and is not a shooter or on the 360 so you never know.
it should get 9.0's all over the place but I will bet money that gamespot is going to give it an unfair score because of the lack of wifi gaming options
They said it was better than Minish Cap at E3. Minish got a 9.1 so if this gets a 9.3 that'll round up to a 9.5. I'm pretty confident it will get a 9.5. Anyone thinking below a 9 is really underestimating GameSpot's tolerance for Nintendo titles.
I got the Japanese version and I got to say that it's the best handheld game I've ever played, and it atleast deserves a 9. But you can't really tell sometimes, I look forward to the Gametrailers review more than Gamespots.

Depends who reviews it... If its Jeff, god knows it wont get a 9... He'd probably give it a 3, and say "While its a nice game, Nintendo made it, and its not Halo. Therefore, its not worth my time... Prepare for me my box of Twinkies and Bacon Flavoured marshmellows".

on gamespot? On gamespot it will definately get a 9.0-9.5 just for being a zelda game and simply because its no mistake, gs plays favorites...MangoLlamas
Among all websites, not one that has currently reviewed the Japanese Zelda has scored under 80%. Gamespot will definitely either give it between an 8.5 (due to the large hype and positive feedback from various sources) to a 9.5 (9.5 is highly unlikely, as with the new system, the only kinds of games scoring that high, for gamespot, are console FPS and occasionally RPGs, like Halo 3, Bioshock, etc.).
I'm guessing it is a 9.0, seeing as 8.5 is below the "hype" level that has built into LoZ:PH, and 9.5 is unlikely with the new rating system.
This whole "GS only rates these games higher" thing is just a bunch of fans whining, from the looks of it. GS has scored a diverse set of genres 9.0 and higher. Ninja Gaiden, Warcraft, Mario Kart, Wind Waker, Okami, etc. Stop making them out to be haters just because they didn't rate a game that you personally loved a 9.0 or even a ludicrous 10.
I dont know if anyone heard of gamestm but they gave it a 9/10 and they dont give 9s litely. The magazine might award six nines a year so that speaks volumes for what they think of PH. However, I would like to point out that it doesnt really matter what it gets. All that matters is what you think of it and what score youd give it.
Im sure it gets in the range of 8.5 - 8.9 basing from the pictures/videos i saw. But who knows? Let's just wait for the official rating of G-spot. hehe :D
i say they (gamespot) will give it like about an eight and a half to a nine (8.5-9) because zelda is a great game and with its graphics on the ds is which looks stunning but the boat traveling may make your fingers tiring.
