My Wii still has a ton of memory left but it's shrinking every week so I'm planing on buying a SD card for my Wii.

How does this really work? Can I play my games from a SD card or do I have have to drag them from My SD card to my Wii to play them or do I always have to keep my games on that SD card?

What size does the Wii actually support? 1gb, 2gb 4gb?

You cannot play the games from the SD card. Save your money and redownload games (it's free) when you want to play them again.

If you still want an SD card, the limit is 2 GB because the Wii does not support SDHC. I have a Kingston Memory 2 GB card which works fine.

Then what is the use of the SD card?

The only real use of it soon is for GHWT DLC storage. Since there's no Wii HDD now or ever, they'll likely go the way of VV & upgrade the SD Card's abilities & allow data to be read off it directly.

Can you say "homebrew"? There are many legal homebrew games and applications for the Wii that can be played/used from the SD card..... including playing your DVD's on it....

I only save that kind of stuff on my SD card. It saves me a few blocks here or there.
