Poll: how many consoles do you own?

Help me provide evidence to a friend of mine that a lot of gamers hang on to their old consoles even after they have upgraded to newer machines.

How many consoles do you still own?

I feel bad starting off this poll since I only have two (Atari 2600 and Wii) but this is exactly the point I am trying to make to my friend. I am in the minority, aren't I? Most of you probably own a heck of a lot more. My prediction (part of the talk I had with my friend) is that most gamers have roughly 5 consoles so I'm centering my poll around that result. It will be interesting to see what the results are.

And since my conversation was Nintendo-centric and I own a Wii, I am posting this poll in the Wii forum even though it spans all platforms.

I own seven - Wii, XBox, PS2, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES. You can see the time of my life when I had money to spend... last generation I could afford all the consoles. Not now.... :(

Luckily the Wii contains four of those consoles, so I only need three connected to a TV, at least once more VC games are released.

Wii, ps2, gamecube, n64, snes, nes, sega genisis, and then pretty much all of the gameboys and a ds lite

I dont no why i havent gotten rid of my gamecube when i have my wii, but oh well:D

I own more then seven - SNES, Genesis, N64, PS1, DreamCast, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, and the Nintendo Wii.

That's actually 11 home consoles, wow look at me. :D And, that's not including the handhelds.

If we count the handhelds I have 13

Telstar Deluxe, Colecovision, Intellivision, Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Playstation, Playstation 2, Gamecube, XBOX, DS, and Wii. I'll pick up the 360 and PS3 when they get more games I want.

I'm still on the fence if I should list all the games I have or not. Right now it's just the ones I have in my DVD racks.

Ehh, not exactly the biggest problem in the world. lol

sadly i can not help you to make taht point... i has never had enough money to get my console.. so i had to get rid of my NES to get SNES, of the lastest for the SNES and so on...

and the GC i gave it to my lil cousin taht was crazy for it... so...

BTW: i own a ps2, Wii and next xmas hopefully a xbox 360 or a DS :P

I have 4with me right now: PS1, PS2, XBOX and Wii. I had Sega and some other old one (can't remember name), but my parents gave them to our relatives. If I was older at the time I would of kept them...

Well at least I kept my handhelds, which are: Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA, GBA SP, DS, and DS lite.

I still own them all but..... I can only find bits and pieces of em. If I have the games, I cant find the system. Have the system cant find the wires. I was actually considering re buying some of the stuff but..... I know all the stuff I need isi n my house some where I just cant find them.

I was a PC only gamer so i haven't owned any console before the wii though i have played 1 NES game and 2 PS1 games.

I poll'd in at 6 consoles (actually it's 7, I just remembered I still have an N64). If handhelds count then it's 9. There is nothing like playing a game on the system to which it was originally released. Oh yeah, look at my sig. :D

Nothing at all, I have just the one too. My 2 kids have a DS Lite each but I guess that doesn't quite count.

I have an entire bookcase devoted to videogames. Also,I used to own an Atari, but it stopped working :cry: No more Frogger for me...

I have: sega master system, ps2, gamecube, xbox, wii, ps3, xbox360, psp, ds. That`s about it.

NES, Sega Master System, Atari 2600, Coleco Gemini, SNES, Sega Genesis, Panasonic 3DO, Nintendo 64, Virtual Boy (If that counts.), Gamecube, Wii, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation, Intellivision.

Around 14 consoles, with a Xbox 360 coming in December.

I have 3 handhelds as well, Gameboy Color, Game Gear and Nintendo DS.

NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii - 5 consoles.

GB, GBC, GBA, DSlite - 4 handhelds.

And a PC.

as of yesterday, 5 :D. i now have all the last gens and all of this gens machines (i had a GC but its now in many bits since wii does GC duties).

i dont really hang on to em though. i tend to take em apart and have a look inside once the successor to that console is out. im weird like that. ive had quite a few consoles over the years but i havent held onto them.

i do tend to hold onto my old PCs though...never know when theyll come in handy (im still waiting for the day one of my old ones gets useful :P).

NES N64 GameCube PS2 Wii. My family has a superNes but its somewhere in Ca and I have not sen it in years. It was given to my twin andme back at its launch so I dont really know who you would say it belongs to.

I have wii, ps3, ds, psp, ps, ps2, n64, gc, nes, snes, sg, dc,atari(andthatotherone)...and thats about it,I never got a ss, and I still need to get a 360. oh and Ialso have gb, gba, gbasp
