OK. What do you all think of Reggie Fils-Aime?

I started a discussion about how far technology could go and if it's a scary thought to anyone yesterday or the day before. This time, I want to talk about Reggie. Personally, I think he's an excellent speaker and a good marketer for Nintendo. HOWEVER, I don't think I really like him all that much. I don't know what it is, but he just hasn't warmed up to me.

Miyamoto is the type I would like to sit down and drink coffee with and have a several hour long discussion about deep thoughts.

Reggie is the type I would like to get totally smashed with and go smash the competitions mailboxes while screaming "YOUR BODY WASNT READY *****!!!!"

I think Reggie's cool. He kicks ass, takes names and is all about making games.

Fils-Aime is a funny sounding last name.

He claims to be one. He's mentioned that he likes Zelda, and has thrown out some numbers for how much time he's sunk into Dragon Quest IX. I think it was around 180 hours last I heard him mention the game in an interview.

He can be a real idiot but I still love him. Easily my favorite public face of any console maker.

He always looks like he just walked out of a massive explosioin.

He's a very good spokesman. When he speaks, it's usually a good listen.

He's ugly. But I don't dislike him. He seems to be pretty good at what he does.

I think he is cool. Always a good listen, Im really looking forward to this years E3, Im betting he is the one who is going to talk about the 3DS and show us more of its games as well as a few Wii games, while Iwata will show off the Wii2, and Miyamoto will show off Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3DS. Its going to be awesome! Cant wait.

I like him and how he supports his company's products. But I would like to see him admiting that Nintendo didn't take the best possible route with some of their releases, like Iwata often does. But I guess he does not do it because it is not his job to do so.

I like the guy, I mean, he's the spokesperson for Nintendo, I grew up with Nintendo, so I like him. As much as I love earthbound, I still don't think he has anything to do with it not being in America.

Which is what a CEO should be. I do believe however he is a DS RPG fan

He has a clear voice, and he looks funny. So that is what I like about him.
Apart from that, he doesn't really interest me much.
Nintendo needs a spokesperson specifically hired for core gamers.
And I don't mean a celebrity, I mean someone GOOD.

Reggie is a great PR guy, I think he is hands down the best one among the console makers. Reggie is the type who can put down the competition without nary a direct negative word about them, that takes skill. I mean compare him to Tretton, all he does is take shots at MS and Nintendo, he lacks the finesse that Reggie has. And Reggie is just funny to look at, he is built like a bruiser and that directly contrast the way he carries himself lol.

He's a pretty good president for NOAand he has some good memes.

Something about him seems very programmed and insincere. I feel like he's completely different when there's not a camera on him. Doesn't sit well with me.

i think he is a great spokesman. He is articulate and can get the point across and is pretty friendly. I dont blame him for some of the bs he has to say or vague comments he has to make because i'm sure its all influenced by the company.

When Reggie talked down to indie devs and said they have no place on Nintendo systems that was it, Nintendo has been backtracking to fix that ever since.

Nintendo should have given me a 3DS to play for free and tape the moment on which I get it. My excitement would make the 3DS sell like there is no tomorrow.

There's a difference between established developers and garage devs, per definition.

Indie dev can be either.

And I also fail to see how they would make such an impact as you imply they would. If any, it would probably be for the worse, in the long run.

I think he can be annoying at times with such imformation like hardware and certain gimmicks that no one is bothered about.

He is THE MAN! And VERY exciting to see in person! ;D
