Hi all,

i have a NDS Lite and theres a slot in it to use Gameboy cartridges as well.

I bought a used Nintendo cartridge called "Kirby's Dream Land" but it doesn't fit to the slot in NDS!

The corner of housing is differnt.

Can i play the game when i make it fit by modifying the housing (grey plastic housing; size about 5x5cm)???

Gameboy games pre GBA = no no on ds lite. Nintendo for some reason ( I think pricing reasons) decided not to put the hardware needed to play GBC and GB games in the ds lite or phat. If you really want to play a kirby game try sqeak squad. I got it and it was pretty good. And if you really really want to play that game you got try gettting a Gameboy colour.

I believe that no matter what you do to the ds the ds can't read gb cards because the ds only has a single sided set of prongs that can read the gba games whereas the gb games have two sides that need to be read.

GBC's are hard to find.

It's easier to get a GBA SP and play it just as well. Easier on your eyes too

No, the DS cannot play Kirby's Dream Land games, because the DS lacks the Z80 microprocessor that is needed in order to play GB and GBC games. Every Game Boy (except Game Boy micro) has this processor built-in, so I suggest buying a used GBA SP if you want to play Kirby's Dream Land.

yup, they removed the z80 processor because it wouldn't fit in the ds's "egronomic design"

( at least thats what nintendo says )

I love how the TC here talks about Kirby's Dream Land as if none of us know what it is. How cute.
