It takes me forever to play the Metriod games, mostly due to navigating the map. When I play, I swear I have to check the map and rotate it around, zoom in and out, and I still get lost or go the wrong way.

I still like the game, don't get me wrong.

Does anyone else have this issue, or is it just me? Because I swear this is what makes the game lengthy for me.

Echoes involves a crap load of backtracking and getting to know your map and all that stuff. I hated it, but get used to it 'cause you'll be doing a lot if you wanna beat the game.

Nope. I love the map in Metroid games and have no problem knowing where to go.

In all Metroid games, if I have to go somewhere, I look at the map, and plan which rooms to take to get there. Always.

So pretty much everyone does that. :P

Must be just me. Because while going through the rooms, I just forget. Either getting distracted fighting something or simply taking the wrong door, etc. So I'm checking the map every room almost. Such a chore!
