Is this system desinded for kids under 10?

I think what he really means is can it take the abuse a 10 year old will most likely subject it to.

It can take quite a bit of abuse from what I have seen and a lot of the games are perfect for someone that age.

To answer your (repeated) question, no, the DS is not designed for people under 10 years old.

do not think so... i`m 27 and owned one.... one of my friend is 28 and he owns one. another friend almost 30, she love hers. thus my lil cousin of 7 yo has one and love the lil thing.....

There aren't many good games out for it.

I'm getting Contra 4 soon, hopefully that's alright.

But I find very little enjoyment in my DS these days.

If you had read his first topic which got locked you might realize that he is asking whether or not it can handle being played by a 10 year old. He is not asking if it was specifically designed to be played by ten year olds. Stop acting like jerks and try to help the kid.

The actual system itself though, i would agree with. My hands start to cramp up and my fingers sometimes hit multiple buttons at once cuz they are so close together.

I have a DS lite, btw, not sure if the original was better.

Oh wow I thought he was asking if this is a good handheld for a little kid or something for christmas. I was gonna say, yes its great there are tons of great games that kids will enjoy. But since he means why would people over 10 buy it, Im gonna have to say there are a ton of games out, and coming out that arent for kids. Such as final fantasy which has a very high difficulty level, Castlevania, Advance Wars, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker (very hard too), Contra 4, demintium, resident evil, and others.

So really its a handheld for everyone. Kids will enjoy it, teens will enjoy it, and adults will enjoy it.And being older you get the best of both worlds,becauseyou can also enjoy some of thegamefor the younger audience, likeNSMB,Final Fantasy Chocobo Tales, Kirby, Pokemon,MarioKart,and some others.
