Is ARMS still popular?

I wouldn't know because I haven't done that much research on the game nor have I played it. But I'm just wondering if a lot of people still play it? Seems as if no new news has come out of it for a while.

I haven't heard about the game since back when it came out. I felt like I was one of the only people interested in it back then lol.

Tbh, I think it was a bit of a flop. It was interesting, and different, and I liked that about it. I don't know if we'll hear much about ARMS for the rest of the Switch's life, unless they add new content to the game.

@Ovirew: Yeah, that's what I thought also. The concept was cool but I thought it'd get a little repetitive.

Online was still pretty active up until Nintendo started their online service. I haven't subscribed so I can't comment on the community since that started. They still advertise events in the news feed though.

ARMS is my favorite game on Switch. It hearkens back to the type of fighting games Capcom made during the Dreamcast era. But it is a bit light on content at 15 characters and has no real story mode. That's fine with me (and was fine for the Dreamcast era) but I think most people should get this when the price drops.

you can still easily find games. However it was not as big a hit as splatoon was. not even half i think.

@judaspete: @speeny :You know, I will say that I think I would get the game again if I eventually got a Switch again. If it were at a reduced price. $30 and below.

I think a part of the problem with that game also, is that I live in a cramped apartment. And the joystick controls really don't cut it for that game, you've pretty much gotta use the motion controls.

@Ovirew: At the time it looked interesting to me. But we are in the same boat in terms of space. If I bought the game and was playing only with the controller it wouldn't feel the same. Lol

@speeny: It's been a while since I played ARMS, it was sometime in 2017. But I remember you couldn't really do everything with the standard controller, like it made playing the game extremely rigid. It was hard to control both your fists, and make your character move, if that makes any sense. That's why you pretty much need to play using motion controls.

@speeny: Thanks! Yeah, me too. I sat and watched the first episode of the Disney series the other day, and I really liked it. I never understood why a bunch of things in the show changed when it left Nickelodeon, but that one episode explains it all - basically, series creator Jim Jenkins wanted to show that things in life change, and that's why he spends an entire episode making Roger rich, changing everyones' looks, closing down the Honker Burger, and breaking up The Beets! I kinda want to marathon the entire show someday lol.

Nickelodeon were way ahead of the game back then. It's such a shame they've resorted to more sitcom shows now. They are garbage imo. Those mid 90's early 2000's shows are absolute classics. Cartoon Network was great back then too. Powerpuff Girls, Rugrats, Aaah Real Monsters, Cat & Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Scooby-Doo, Johnny Bravo and of course Courage the Cowardly Dog. (I watched Courage recently and man is that show strange.) I miss those days.
