Have you ever bought a new DS game and the cart was upside down in the box?

I had a few of those instances. One time with Track and Field, there was a huge gash on it. So I exchanged it. And this time, the cart was normal.

But I also had that same incident with Disgaea DS where the DS cart was upside down in the box. The cart was fine but it made me worried that maybe someone played it and just put it in the box wrong. I bought it at Gamestop and it came in shrinkwrapped, which makes me wonder even more.

Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else bought a brand new DS game with the game put in the box upside down.

I think it happened to me once with my copy of Children of Mana.

I've had this happen numerous times. Usually when I purchase a game from Gamestop. I know for a fact the games had been played before considering both Kirby Canvas Curse and DQM had saved files on them.

'Game' does the same in the UK. It doesn't matter if you buy the game new or used, probably you get a used copy anyway.

You should be aware of which publishers shrinkwrap vs. which publishers cellophane.

NIS/Atlus ALWAYS cellophane seals their games. If yours was shrinkwrapped, it was previously opened. Sorry to hear that.

Though I have had a friend who got a Mario game for his birthday. He opened up the case, and it was a totally different game inside, and it was marked as "new".

hahahahaha. yeah it's called a cart(ridge), and not a card.

interestingly enough, several third party accessory manufacturers choose to call their products "DS Card Holder" or "DS Card File". so i guess it's all a matter of preference.
