The Legend of Zelda oracle of ages/seasons is coming this month I heard. There is also Ocarina of Time but it will cost you a lot...about $40.

About Metroid, i suggest if you haven't played it before, it is good. If you've played it, I would say skip.

I own Pushmo which is great if you like puzzles. I've heard good things about Crashmo as well.

Metroid 2 is good if you are a hardcore metroid fan. I had the original and finished it as a kid, but it's pretty hard without a guide. Mario Land 2 is one of my all time favorite games and is a must have gameboy game.

If you don't mind a hefty challenge, Unchained Blades is pretty awesome. The localization is brilliant too.

Level 5 did us proud recently with some great downloadable titles. Liberation Maiden and Crimson Shroud are both well worth the price of admission.

Go to the eShop (assuming you're in NA), hit the down button so you're on the second row, and all the way to the right is the "Demos" category. In here, you'll find a demo for HarmoKnight, DENPA MEN, and some other downloadable titles, and demos of retail games. I suggest you check out HarmoKnight and DENPA MEN. If you enjoyed the latter, the supposedly much better sequel to it is arriving on May 30th, same day as the Oracle games, so it's better to wait for that if you liked the first's demo. You should also get Link's Awakening for GBC, another classic Zelda.

Otherwise try Pushmo for a great puzzle game, Mutant Mudds for a great platformer. Crimson Shroud for a very Dungeons & Dragons-like RPG (on sale for $5 until May 30th!). Avoid Super Mario Land 1. It's just... not great in any significant way. Mario Land 2 will make you feel much less ripped off, but is still very short. If you want fun and longevity, I'd go for Donkey Kong '94 for GB. There's also the original Legend of Zelda for NES if you've never played it. Metroid 2 is a unique entry in the franchise, and in some ways doesn't feel like any Metroid before or since. I'd go read a review on it.

I think I've covered all your queries. :)

i know that some games have demos but i meant the virtual console games which i dont think they do. i might get the mario games and Metroid 2 and Zelda LTTP (have to finish it before the new one comes out) also thinking about Wario Land. Thanks for the help.

Link's Awakening DX is pure excellence. Shantae: Risky's Revenge is also really good.

I just bought the 3DS Ware title 50 Classic Games. It's actually a surprisingly good deal- it's got classics like Chess, Yahtzee, Sudoku, Solitaire(called "klondike" for no reason I can discern) Texas Hold 'em, Air Hockey- and then older or more niche games like mahjongg, hearts, a bastardized version of Uno played with regular playing cards called "Mau Mau," Backgammon, a version of Puzzle Bobble- the list goes on. Buy it if you like classic card/board/casino games, or if you're a fan of simple(but challenging) puzzles. Their category for "action" games isn't much more than you can get for free off of the Android marketplace or the App store, but they're a nice bonus. Although there are some glaring ommissions like Cribbage, Checkers, and maybe one or two others that some people might notice, but on the whole, I've found it entirely worth the price.
