Final Fantasy VI for advance or Final Fantasy III for the DS???

Should I buy the more recent Final Fantasy VI even though it is for GBA, or should I go with Final Fantasy III for the DS even though it is farther back in the series???

III is a remake of the original but it bored the crap out of me, honestly...it was fun for a little while and the variety of job classes was awesome, but even when the story started progressing a little, I didn't really feel continuing. I am a fan of some of the other FF games, but this one felt like a waste of time. All I can do is not suggest that one to you.

if you like old skool only go with FF VI
if you like old skool with a slight graphics overhaul and DS features, go with FFIII..

I have both but enjoy FFIII more. Another difference is FFVI uses the ATB (Active time battle feature). FFIII does not, this means you can take your time to plan out attacks.

One more thing FFIII has is what is called "Mognet". You can send and receive mail in the game to your friends who own a copy of the game as well (via friend codes). But it is extremely limited.

FF3 looks better and has a fun job system, and I'm just lovin' it overall. FFVI has a more memorable storyline, though. I'd get both if possible.

Whoever said III was better... well just wow... The game is older than I am, and its basically the same thing it was back then with the graphics upgrade... Go with VI I'm only 2 hours into it and I'd say its way better than III

its the best ff in my opinion (ive not played ff 8 or 9 but that doesnt matter) so cant go wrong with FF VI or the other gba ports that are are the double and more better than FF III, not like FF III is a bad game but it doesnt have the same thrill as the other games

Wow... way to go. You somehow managed to make your word law around here. Everyone must agree with you. :| Seriously.. you're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean that you have to make your opinion seem like fact. Let others have their own opinion too. If someone here wants to say they liked FFIII more than FFVI, then they have every right to feel that way. And one last thing. Just because a game is old, doesn't mean it's not good.

FFVI is one of my favorite ff of all time. I think the story and gameplay mechanics are really fun. Neva played ff3 for the ds but I hear its not all its cracked up to be.

If I had to pick only one, I would get FF VI, as I think it has a better overall storyline and character development. However, FF III is good as well; I've certainly found it to be more challenging. Either way, you can't really go wrong.
